The fairest way to handle a tiebreaker in the team finals or all around is to just add up all of their execution scores and then the highest added execution score wins

In its hsy day when it was still Soviet union sport were a national thing , they found the young and talented and trained them early. Each gymnast had a net of support around them ..molding their development ..dance , cherography, trampoline it was amazing no detail was to small .with t gy e break up if the Soviet union things changed a bit, funding mainly and coaches moved to other countries and spread the knowledge around . The history of gymnastics runs deep in Russia , during that time sports were a national past time and it was a way to glory and honor. You can not look at gymnastic and not see the Russian imprint such a legacy I think it only exists in gymnastic. The tiebreaker rule is such a bullshit rule, when you drop ones lowest scoring apparatus, it’s no longer an all around competition. Then if you do that, shouldn’t you do that for every other competitor then? Because someone that got fifth might have screwed up badly on one apparatus but when you dropped that apparatus he might get second or third

Russia were sportsmanlike and courteous in the team final, why can't fans of China be the same and accept the standings. If China won Team Gold, why didn't they win AA? And TWO Russian athletes went to the podium... this World Championship is corrupt, because judges gave the highest score for the parallel bars routine to Zou who just competed in two apparatuses. Russian Team led on the floor, rings and vault and China led only pommel horse and parallel bars.... 0.049...this is what corruption looks like

climbergreen. maybe you don't know how gymnastics works. my daughter actually does gymnastics in high school. and she thought the chinese men were better in the team competition and the men. due to their higher difficulty and their execution.

@@annettefallon1652 oh, may be your daughter is the World class expert in Men's Gymnastics? And she has been doing gymnastics for 10 years and still at level 2 :D

Stop the crap. My daughter is level 8. And her boyfriend is on the UCLA mens gymnastics team. Most of the team thinks the Chinese men deserved their team gold.

Your daughter is level 8 at 19 y.o., when gymnasts are already done with elite carrier. And now her boyfriend is in UCLA, so what? Please stop, I don't want to hear how you are doing you husband... if you even had one... go to the kitchen and do some meals, female.

To be honest, everyone knows he only got this gold medal because China has beat Russia in the team final with little margin. This gymnastics world champions does not want to offend any top countries therefore the judges let him win instead of Xiao. Xiao's routine has a much high difficulty than Artur.

this is the all around not event finals, it doesn't matter how much diffuculty xiao has on one event. artur had NO major mistakes, he deserved to win

Bullshit. Please don't let your personal bias get in the way of common sense. Artur was clearly the better competitor, just accept second place already.
