VNV Nation is one of the best bands ever to come into this world. I gravitated to them the first time I heard them. They are the only band that I know which gave a lot of comfort with their music to everyone in New York right after the 9/11 attacks. They had over a million hits with Standing.
This is literally the best live performance of this song that i can find. The sound quality is amazing compared to the other live videos on youtube. Been a favorite of mine for years.
not even close....I've seen phone videos from the this tour I just saw friday night and there performance level now is so superior....the crowd might not be as enegetic, but his voice quality now is so next level comparatively and I've been a fan for 12 years now...three tours deep.

I met VNV Nation completely unexpectedly when in NYC I was around 15-16 years old. I had only started listening to their music, but they were the sweetest guys ever! That's how you make fans for life.
I was there at the Meraluna Festival 2006 at the Hangar, what a great track. We love Ronan and his songs, the mood and the feeling. Looking forward to the new album in March 2023 "Electric Sun" fan since 1994 & that will never end
The Chicago show on the 25th was one of the most amazing shows ever, Ronan and Mark can put one hell of a show and they did so that night. It was simply one of the best nights of my life.

Ronan has a really good time, and interacts with his crowd, but does not take shit from anyone. When they started, they played one song, then stopped and started talking and got given some gifts, including some stuffed moose and a raygun. (Yes, in Canada) He had a good time goshing the crowd, but he kept the moose visible on stage and posed with the raygun. It was hillarious.
You shouldve seen them like I did the other night! I could listen to them all night when they play tunes like this plus Ronan is so fan-friendly, he really gets the crowd into it. They rock!

It's SYNTH. Maybe called something else too, but my brother got me into this kinda music.. and he's liked this kinda music for many many years, we've always said Synth. Music resembling VNV is for instance Apoptygma Berzerk wich is from the city in Norway where I was born :P
@roguemutt You have not lived until you have gone to a VNV gig. Seriously! I went to one in 2008 and it was almost a religious experience. The energy of the crowd is just mind blowing! If you ever get the chance, embrace it with everything you've got - you will NOT regret it!!!

I got to see VNV Nation 4 years. His intensity and energy is electric. You can't NOT help yourself from dancing. This was 1 of my favorite concerts.
