Seeing this live is unreal. The energy of hope is incredible. Love how the drummer stands the entire show, dancing and playing like a maniac. If you get a chance, go see VNV. Life changing.
One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. That says a lot because I’ve seen some of the best bands to ever play. The energy here is unreal

I was at a venue where Ronan was performing back in like 2002. My friend wanted to go as he was a big fan. I hadn't really been turned on to his music yet and figured it was another one of those bland industrial dance music bands said friend liked.
I was outsidetalking to people most of the set...... Didn't think much of it. Years later I started digging into his music and now I'm kicking myself for not paying attention

Me too, I’m a grown ass man and this song makes me feel things that most other songs can’t. I’ve even cried while driving because I’m so moved by it. It’s the lyrics and the song combined that make this piece so special. I love VNV nation, they are the band with the most songs that do this to me. What’s weird is I did some depression therapy called 5-MEO-DMT, and ever since then I can feel music like I’ve never felt before. Amazing stuff, the human brain is so complex and we understand so little about it.
Btw, I’ve been dealing with depression for 36 years, it was crippling and nothing ever worked until I did ibogaine + 5-MEO-DMT (within 3 days of each other.) life changing, and if you’re reading this and have crippling depression and anxiety, this is way more useful than any pharmaceutical drug that exists.
My late father has 'lux perpetua luceat eis' on his headstone. It means 'let light perpetual shine upon them'. I always think of him when I hear this song. Dad was all about the music.

Ronan is such a great songwriter and storyteller I am always amazed by his presence on stage. Energy, love and passion. Pure beauty.
It's always the positive energy that comes off this track that hits the heart, mind and the soul so well. Just proves that we're all light. Humans are amazing creatures when we focus in the positive and the outcomes that come with it.
They have performed "Perpetual" as an encore during the show in Belgrade. For good 10 minutes the crowd was chanting "Let there be....." to the point that even Mark and Ronan could not believe.
Screaming "da da da da da da" is the best part of a VNV concert.

This was the first song I ever heard from VNV well over a decade ago and I was instantly hooked.
I will finally be able to see them live this year on their Electric Sun tour and I can't wait!

Also Ronan ist der absolut einzigste Künstler den ich kenne der so hinter seiner Musik steht und hinter seinen Fans.. er hat in den ganzen Jahren sich nie für irgendeinen Mainstream verbogen, er bleibt seinen Stil treu... ich stand bei Konzerten oft in der ersten Reihe und er hat einen immer mit einbezogen:)) Weiter so die Musik ergreift mich echt arg, den sie kommt vom Herzen.
Er ist phänomenal aber Dave Gahan gibt mir dasselbe Gefühl Depeche Mode und VNV 4 ever

This song is so amazing, and especially amazing when you are actually there live. The one VNV concert I've been to, he closed the show with this and I was so happy.

VNV hold a soft spot in my heart and I grew up in the NYHC scene and this is ssoooooo different from that music but it's one group that I have seen more and around the world from US, South America, Europe and I can never get enough.....long live VNV Nation!!! Horns to Ronan and yes he is a great guy to talk to but don't piss him off on stage.
This song and the energy and the whole crowd singing along when I saw them in Beveren (Belgium) a couple months back, damn. That was something else, couldn't help but grin like a fool

The feeling of playing live in front of a crowd that loves you must be phenomenal. I've played, but it's usually at the local goth club for ten people who were going to be there drinking and dancing anyway. In fact, they are probably just waiting for me to finish so the DJ can come on and play music they actually care about.
I really hope they don't . Keep trying and writing your own stuff . One day we all may be watching your videos . Playing for a thousand people is mind blowing even if i was only the support act

I have followed VNV since Tutbury castle bad weekend great concert and they still are utterly brilliant ! but don't idolise them they are human and they want to be remembered as such !!
Love this song. Seeing them live was one of the greatest experiences I've had, if you're thinking about seeing them, you should do it if you ever get the chance.
