This is a good deal Ryan. I am glad you posted this because I can imagine the frustration of people who are having to buy remote after remote only for them to not work, that would suck. This method is similar to resetting the PCM or ECM on a car where you unhook from a dedicated power source and turn the key over to let the boards run down power and reset.

That's strange. I've never heard of this working on a Roku remote. I have a 55" TCL p605 TV and the review has never locked up. Anyway, I'm glad my video helped you!

this worked. We have now the new replaced tv and it only came with 1 remote. and our old tv's 2nd remote is left behind and it worked. Good job. Note: new tv is TCL beyondTV2.

Informative video, I also got this TV this is its remort, in writing it doesn't have MUTE option and by pressing channel option when number comes but no specific number channel how to press channel 41 , 39, 57 etc... Answer plz thnx
@@nadeemhussain2609 no clue. This is a remote fix that I learned. I'm not a TV remote expert or repairman. The remote has no numbers. If you have questions you can call TCL tech support which is where I learned this trick.

For some reason (probably sitting on it and pressing buttons as a result) the remote unpairs from the device. To start the pairing process..... make sure the remote has power. Turn TV on. Press and hold the HOME and OK buttons then follow prompt. FYI...... remote WILL work unpaired but you have to install a laser sight to make sure the signal is hitting the receiver accurately. Lol.

TCL needs to make this trick known to customers. They need to include it as an insert with the remote.
