Just to let you know I tried your suggestion of "The sun aint gonna shine" It's so simple there is nothing to it and it just doesn't inspire me to play it. I do try the suggestions out but I have to like and be inspired by them so I would rather play something with more notes in. All the best Phil

Thanks a lot Chris - It's a real simple one with loads of repeats,, as soon as you Tab it you find the repeats - I ran out of highlighting pen colours ! Lol but it does have a change of key which makes the tabs look longer Lol... All the best Phil

Hi Ramon - thanks for your good comments on this one !! Glad you liked it. I use Elixir Optiweb 11-49 strings (they last forever)! My action is quite high I havent measured it but I like to be able to hit the strings' hard and not get any buzzing. All the best Phil
Great video, Phil. Anyways, I have a suggestion for your next new video. Can you please record a new electric version of James Taylor's hit called You've Got A Friend? It would be great if you can re-arrange an electric guitar version of that song. I was having a hard time trying to play the original acoustic version of your arrangement on my electric guitars as well as reading the tabs. If you can, please use that Fender Alan Brason Custom Stratocaster which is featured in this video. Otherwise, please do the new electric version if you want to and please do the free tabs as well. Sorry John - Having already recorded a song I never repeat the same song again . The free tabs & BT are on my acoustic version and can easily be used on an electric guitar. The only song I have ever done twice is "When you say nothing at all" One was Alisun Krauss's version (acoustic) The Other was Hank Marvin's both in different keys. Cheers Phil

Hi Wesley - The 12 string I used on Mr Tambourine man is a Rickenbacker.. It goes back to it's owner today :-( but don't fret (excuse the pun) he is lending me a vary rare guitar a 1962 Fender Mustang ! worth £6000 to make my next recording.. Hi Ramon - thanks for your good comments on this one !! Glad you liked it. I use Elixir Optiweb 11-49 strings (they last forever)! My action is quite high I havent measured it but I like to be able to hit the strings' hard and not get any buzzing. All the best Phil
Great video, Phil. Anyways, I have a suggestion for your next new video. Can you please record a new electric version of James Taylor's hit called You've Got A Friend? It would be great if you can re-arrange an electric guitar version of that song. I was having a hard time trying to play the original acoustic version of your arrangement on my electric guitars as well as reading the tabs. If you can, please use that Fender Alan Brason Custom Stratocaster which is featured in this video. Otherwise, please do the new electric version if you want to and please do the free tabs as well. Sorry John - Having already recorded a song I never repeat the same song again . The free tabs & BT are on my acoustic version and can easily be used on an electric guitar.
The only song I have ever done twice is "When you say nothing at all" One was Alisun Krauss's version (acoustic) The Other was Hank Marvin's both in different keys. Cheers Phil

Hi Wesley - The 12 string I used on Mr Tambourine man is a Rickenbacker.. It goes back to it's owner today :-( but don't fret (excuse the pun) he is lending me a vary rare guitar a 1962 Fender Mustang ! worth £6000 to make my next recording..
