Grew up as a guitar player but picked up drumming to help my praise band at church. Can’t wait to practice this awesome song tonight! Thanks for sharing!
I m still 15 years of age n I started playing since the age of 7..I still need to practice more bcz I m still making a lot of mistake 😅 but I hope one day I will surely master it..I am helping the youth people as a drummer.I pray our ALMIGHTY GOD will help my way 🙏🙏🙏😇
I just managed to translate your comment - that's great! If you ever travel to Singapore, let me know. I wish you all the best with your music, ministry and drumming (: thank you so much and God bless!!
Playing the & of every beat with the right hand while playing 4 on the floor is trickier than it looks when you throw in all those little subdivisions happening between the bass and snare. Great cover!
This song has always been one of my favourites and to see worship songs being covered is a blessing in itself. Keep it up and looking foward to more worship covers. P.s the notes realy helps.
Subscribed! This is so helpful for a newer drummer who just picked up the sticks but doesn't fully understand quite yet how the sausage gets made (so to speak). Thank you for doing this!
I do the head bop thing when I have to play syncopated hats with opens too. HAHA and YESSSS my fav praise song to play!! Always love the energy of this song but your transcribe really gave it so much more meaning. Thank you!
@@jhowardpercussion it isn't at all! I have been getting more requests for it so I probably should get around to sometime this year - meanwhile, I occasionally format some of them for print (and happen to have this one done - shoot me an email if you want it, staljdrums at gmail)
@@stalj Thank you so much!! I will email you shortly. Also wanted to thank you for your video about drumming tips. I've been comparing myself to other drummers and as you mentioned, get pretty discouraged. Very much appreciated.
Wow, glad I found you! Love everything about the way you play! Gonna copy ALOT of your technique. But best of all, you love to sing and Worship, me too!
Wow, thanks for putting this together on my request of this song, that was fast. To me,it’s flawless (just like the recording) even tho u admitted that u botched it. . Love the beat of high n floor Tom’s at 0:38, Standing ovation! Bravo
You're most welcome! Hope it's useful!! Oh, I deleted those botched takes where I added in an unnecessary crash in the middle of the bridge out of habit 🤣
Sorry if I am missing it somewhere but are there pages I can print off with all the sheet music in one place? Thank you for making this video, I thouroghly enjoyed it

Christal Kuna hello can you drum cover the song of gary sadler I rejoice in your love and some May trust in chariots. Thank you a blessed day. So thank you for this drum cover.❤️😊😊
Hello! I actually don't use any drumless tracks. I just have the music at a lower volume and play the parts accurately to the original, so it's less obvious. You can try using the app Moises.ai to remove drums from music tracks! Hope that works for you!
@@danielvrodriguez81 if you're talking about verse 2, hihat is just played on the upbeats. In the notation, there's an eighth rest on 1 and 3 and just snare on 2 and 4!
@@stalj yes. Thank you so much. I played this song for the first time on Sunday. I did okay but only played the down notes. I need to practice the up bests.
@@danielvrodriguez81 it's a lot of fun once you get it! You can just try this linear pattern even if you aren't at a kit now - KRLRKRLR - repeat that with right hand on hats, left hand on snare and you'll get an upbeat hihat groove. And kick with the left hand snare hits and you have the main verse 2 beat down!
Hard to say without knowing what level you're at, but... don't give up! We all have to go through the beginner stages. Keep listening and observing and practicing; take a lesson or two at least if you can to check that you're on the right track, but the most important thing is to keep loving music and your instrument, and work at being better than you were the day before!
This by far the best drumming channel I've seen to learn how to play Christian songs. You're an awesome teacher and drummer. God bless you.
