16:46 (Small Mario: Dungeon of Growth) "This cannot be a real level btw. There has to be something hidden." Believe it or not, after checking it in Viewer, I can actually say that the level is pretty much real. There is a pseudo-dev star hidden block where all of the bumpers are, off in the top middle area, however - to be fair - there's actually an arrow pointing to it, so, imho, I don't see it as a true dev item (but, of course, your mileage may vary) (you can see the arrow at 14:34) Although probably useless for anyone playing strictly in Endless, I think the star could have some theoretical value for anyone attempting to speed run the level for WR. Basically, I think if you could get down into that pocket and lure Bowser Jr in his clown car there and then one shot him with it. In theory, I suppose if you were super quick and jumped into the car immediately upon getting the star and then jumped diagonally down to the pipe and then got into the next room (see 15:10) with it still active, you can possibly ignore the third saw at the end as the star timer expires, which would basically allow you to get a full speed YOLO jump to the right. This would, in turn, allow you to possibly skip the 3 other skull platforms, and save about 20 seconds - you'd just have to land on the blue falling platform (visible at 15:30). That's it. Aside from the hidden star with an arrow pointing right at it, there are no other hidden items nor obscure dev routes. The star short cut, to me, seems intentional and not like cheese - like, I legit believe that the creator put it there so as to reward WR chasers with a potentially high risk-high reward means of potentially shaving off another 12-25 secs from their PB. That said, I don't really see the point of using it unless you're trying to get the WR - there are just way too many ways to die (star time requires optimization, and the jump at the end probably needs to be at full speed, and perfectly timed - anything less is most likely death) - all, just to skip what is probably the easiest section of the level anyway. The rest of the level (which, as an aside, the creator says he originally he uploaded on SMM1 before it was removed) is what it is - very difficult, but not anything the dev didn't do. Def a weird one - and entertaining to watch!
