    Hi Laura, what kinda wine should I use? Most it be expensive wine or just a normal wine we usually drink? Or is there any special wine for cooking purposes?

    The pasta shape is called "molloni." I just HAD to figure it out. I think it translates to spring or coil or something like that.

    Thanks for this very delicious recipe laura, I made it last night and I loved the flavors. I used chicken stock, because I didn't have shrimp, and it was BOMB!! Great recipe!!

    May I please ask what the reason was for using regular olive oil over extra virgin olive oil in this situation? Is there a time that it is better to use regular olive oil over extra virgin?
    Sorry if this seems silly, I just like to understand 'why' when I'm learning things in cooking.

      +blameitonablackstar it's not good to cook on a stove with extra virgin, because it has a much lower smoke point. cooking on a stove using oils such as grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, and regular olive oil is better than extra virgin. this is why extra virgin is usually only used in salads.

      Extra virgin is usually used for things like salad dressing, mayo, pesto, whenever you don't cook it because it has a strong taste and is more expensive

    emm.. does the pasta become over cooked? you cook for 10 min to get al dente.. but you still cooked it with the sauce and salmon after your pasta al dente?

      +Leema Begum You can use the following to as a non-alcoholic substitute for wine:
      1. White wine vinegar - This is an ideal substitute for dry white wine, especially when its purpose is to deglaze a pan. Made from white wine, white wine vinegar has many of the same flavor characteristics, minus the alcohol.
      2. Lemon juice - This is another good substitute for deglazing. Fresh lemon juice is a good way to replicate the tangy flavor white wine brings to a dish. Dilute the lemon juice with an equal amount of water to prevent it from being too overpowering.
      3. White grape juice - Use white grape juice as a substitute when you want to add sweetness, or deglaze the pan. For a punchier substitute, try mixing a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice per cup of grape juice.
      4. Chicken or vegetable stock - Substitute stock for white wine when you want to add depth of flavor to a dish. For extra flavor, try mixing a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice per cup of stock.

    putting fish on paper towel is the worst mistake ever , it takes all the fish juice and makes it dry cooked

    this is my favorite dish by far!. its soo tasty!!!! didnt have shrimp stock, and couldnt find fish stock. but knorr has shrimp bouillon and it was really good!

    my darling it seems that you have 3-4 stages of cooking and every single stage takes 10-15 minutes. i cook pasta for 10 minutes ,while you cook pasta for 1H....

    I feel like shrimp stock isn’t the easiest thing to find and isn’t something some people would like or use up, sooo what I do (and what you should do, too, if you don’t want to go the shrimp stock route) is use salted pasta water in place of the stock, then go as normal with the white wine and cream :)
