Hi Laura, what kinda wine should I use? Most it be expensive wine or just a normal wine we usually drink? Or is there any special wine for cooking purposes?
Pinot griccio ( i think thats how you spell it ) , its a white wine .

May I please ask what the reason was for using regular olive oil over extra virgin olive oil in this situation? Is there a time that it is better to use regular olive oil over extra virgin?

+blameitonablackstar it's not good to cook on a stove with extra virgin, because it has a much lower smoke point. cooking on a stove using oils such as grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, and regular olive oil is better than extra virgin. this is why extra virgin is usually only used in salads.
Extra virgin is usually used for things like salad dressing, mayo, pesto, whenever you don't cook it because it has a strong taste and is more expensive

emm.. does the pasta become over cooked? you cook for 10 min to get al dente.. but you still cooked it with the sauce and salmon after your pasta al dente?

this is my favorite dish by far!. its soo tasty!!!! didnt have shrimp stock, and couldnt find fish stock. but knorr has shrimp bouillon and it was really good!

I feel like shrimp stock isn’t the easiest thing to find and isn’t something some people would like or use up, sooo what I do (and what you should do, too, if you don’t want to go the shrimp stock route) is use salted pasta water in place of the stock, then go as normal with the white wine and cream :)
I know what my partner would say, "I don't want a nice piece of salmon in bits mixed in with pasta, just leave it as a nice filet, and put the pasta on the side"
