profoto should be licensing Neewer to make their more economical strobes so that way they can be more competitive... they are getting steamrolled in the battery powered sector.

Hello Trent, do you know where can I find flash batteries? I have the same flash, the Triopo version, but I don´t find them
It's best to good with more power. ATG/Triopo make two models in 400ws & 500ws.
Neewer paid ATG. And ATG/Triopo printed Neewer names.
Flashtube and LED are available by ATG & Triopo.
To replace or remove the flashtube:
1. Un-wrap center spiral metal wire.
2. Grab onto two post ends of flashtube & pull straight out.
3. Install new flashtube by align the two post contact leads to base sockets.
4. Wrap center spiral metal wire.
5. Make sure to clean flashtube with alcohol
Always start out with low power before shooting high or HSS.
This way your flashtube will last very long.
ATG has them in Canon, Nikon & Sony TTL transmitters.

Thuy Vu B10 is such an extremely expensive light. I think this or the Godox AD200 would be equally to the B10.

According to GEEKOTO website this model does not work with Godox trigger. “***This model is only compatible with our GEEKOTO Commander Trigger” which sucks cause I would def consider buying one.
Hello Trent, Nice Video. I'm about to purchase this strobe but I'm wondering it the TTL or HSS mode works with Olympus / Panasonic ? I already have an Olympus XT -1 (Godox) Trigger, do you think it will be fine? Thanks
Gabraël Akinyode i don't think it will work with Olympus. The trigger is every specific to the strobe. The firmware only specified canon, Nikon and Sony but only with version 3.0 firmware.

charliefarley74 I did not included HHS in this video but I did use it on my other shoot and it worked like a charm.

The HSS is set in the trigger (4:47) or in the camera menu. It was already turned on in this video, which is indicated by the "H" in the upper left corner of the display on the trigger.

Mine is very inconsistent. Sometimes it fires full blast, sometimes it settles down and co operates. And the HSS is a hit a miss with this thing. Am I missing a firmware update or something?
Nice video and it helped me make up my mind on it. But I do have one question. Is the flash tube replaceable and if it is where can we find instructions for the same ?
Sush Kumar i have not looked into the replacement bulb but given the flash size and power, it looks universal. I don’t see any instruction in the box on how to replace it ( most don’t either). I would assume if you’re handy, you can do it.

Really great video - THANKS! Do you happen to know if this light will work with Godox X1T triggers? I am searching for my first monolight with HSS and TTL capability and my trigger is 2.4GHz with 30 channels and I am told it might work for some strobes OTHER THAN Godox models. If it matters, the camera I use is Olympus M5 Mark II and I do real estate/architectural and some model photography, and I have never used a genuine monolight (only speedlights and smaller TTL/HSS flashes). This light looks just great and is a price just within my budget. Thanks again - Liked and Subscribed.

@@delfinozuniga2793 Ah, I see. Well, ended up with an AMAZING Flashpoint Xplor 600 with HSS etc. Works great with Godox trigger (I guess it is really the same thing as Godox).

You said TTL is for Nikon and Canon, but I have a Sony A7 with a neewer Speedlite and the same wireless trigger, but for sony. Do you think they're compatible?

I don't think they will work together but the solution to that is to set all the DS300 on slave mode.

1. Do you know Triopo/Neewer's TTL transmitter for Sony already has in the F1-400?
2. Or do you need to do firmware upgrade, if so from who?
3. What ranges can get in TTL?
4. Transmitter has ATG AF Assist Beam, and is it bright?
1) I have not seen firmware or trigger designed for Sony sold anywhere so I'm assume there is nothing out at the moment.
2) Honestly I don't think there is firmware support that I can see.
3) TTL can got up to 1/8000 sec
4) The Assist Beam feels similar in brightness to the Yongno flash if that helps.

Very little information from Neewer & Triopo.
That is great they have a sony trigger. I have not tried it so i can't say how it perform. The range of the trigger is amazing. It said 50 meter range and I have tested it even farther.
The ATG Gold TTL Kim X5 (C/F/H/N/S) range is 300 meters.
I have tested to be over 350 meters under ETTL II.
Used & Tested with Canon EOS-1D C and 1D X Mark II:
1. ATG Gold TTL Kim X5 was 374 meters under ETTL II
2. Neewer TTL (yours) is 50 meters?
3. Yongnuo YN-E3-RT was 47 meters under ETTL II
4. Canon ST-E3-RT was 36 meters under ETTL II
Under M wireless:
A. ATG Gold TTL Kim X5 was 911 meters
B. PocketWizard MultiMAX II Transceiver was 1,025 meters
Anyone knows if the transmitter be fully compatible w/ATG, Canon, Godox or Nissin flashes?

You know I'm looking to buy a strobe. And you Godox and other names in the $300 plus ballpark. And of course on Amazon there's the NEEWER brand. The only thing that scares the s*** out of me is every time there is a video on RUclips about one of these strobes the damn things discontinued as fast as the video goes up. Just about every stroke video for this brand you can no longer buy those. Now they do have a brand new vision five out that seems to be pretty decent for $349 on sale now normally $399. And it comes with a handle in a few pluses. But you can't put the little gels on it or anything like that
I have the Triopo version of this light. Its Awesome.

Did you try this, got it from Amazon product site:
"For Nikon: Set the Trigger as "M-n" mode, the HSS function can only be activated by setting in the menu of Nikon Camera. Please turn to flash menu on the camera and choose "1/250s(auto FP)". Then the LCD screen of the Trigger will display the HSS icon, which means the HSS function can work normally"

getatme075 the LED light is not strong enough for most application of video.
Can this strobe be used with the Nikon D500?
A lot of people have been complaining about the HSS on Nikon. I'll have to get a Nikon in house to test.

I don't think so but the strobe comes with its own trigger or you can set it on slave mode.
i use this as a slave with 560 tx and works just fine....

I reach out to Neewer for the firmware and they are in the process of sending me the firmware. They also sell the updated trigger with v3.0 that works with Sony, but you should not have to get a new trigger to get a new firmware.
I'd like to have HSS with my F1-400 and my Sony A7R3, please let me know when you have some news :)

Works fine on d700,d7000,d3. Make sure your mode is in N . Have been using mine for over a year now .
B Awesome Does not work with my D300 or my D500. HSS is non functional.
Been using it on my d810 for close to two years and everything works perfect
I hate the flash exposure on the model in the beginning, somewhat better in the end so it seems to show inconsistency and control. Im not sure if its your technical ability, the lack of a C stand or the flash... Also the lack luster effort on your model. Where did she come from Model Mayhem?

Does this work with Canon Speed lights?
Sly J I doubt it. I think they used different frequency. Unless someone here can provide additional information.

Yes it will work with Canon speedlights and all other brands of speedlights on optical. I've even paired it with my godox AD600 light as a hair light and it works great.
