One thing I have learnt is to take each day on its own and pray earnestly, clinging to God to keep me for that day. I'm too weak to think any further ahead than that.
Keep Growing brother I'm also weak but i live in the Hope of becoming strong and mature someday and more than that in the Hope of Salvation Hope of the day when Christ will come and take away all of us with Him. GOD BE WITH YOU AMEN❤✝️
“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NLT when we’re still in this world, we can’t be perfect with this flesh in us, we might be getting better but not perfect but the Good news is that HIS Grace, HIS Power, will work through us is in the weakness, and so we can do His will pursue living in God, abide in HIM ( John 15 ), Good sees our heart not our perfection, HE is the only perfect ONE. Wait until the time is come, when HE come back for the 2nd time, no more flesh, but fully living in the Holy Spirit, live with perfection in heaven just like HIM God bless you brother 😇❤️🔥
Sin will slow our growth, being an indicator of our lack of spiritual maturity, but fortunately for us, God will continue to use us for his glory. Our willingness to humbly repent puts us into a state of grace which opens the door for spiritual growth.

Wrestled with this question for years as a Christian and it caused me great anxiety and bit by bit squeezed The lord out of my life. I have learned to trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus!
Obedience is the way to go, I agree with you. But "living in sin" as mentioned in the video is not living for God at all, no need to even talk about being forgiven yet at this point. Because repentance is required for forgiveness and ongoing sin contradicts that (Romans 6:14). This message is not really sound teaching (e.g. it twists 1 John 1:8 to make a point about going on sinning every day). It most likely only gets people to be and stay "double-minded," but no one can approach God that way (e.g. James 4:8). Peace to you!
@@yestothetruthit's impossible to repent of sin until you are forgiven. An unsaved person who doesn't have the power of Christ can't change. So don't say "don't talk about forgiveness". Luke 5:22 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Important note, repentance isn't even an action. By definition it means to change your mind
@@glershnern5300 If you are going North on a highway and you change your mind about that, do you still keep going in the same direction? Will you be precise and say what kind of change of mind repentance is? Repentance is preached for the forgiveness of sins. How did you come up with that position that forgiveness is granted without repentance? Luke 24:46-47 [46] and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, [47] and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Acts 2:38 [38] And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. If you can't relate to the sense of these scriptures, I'd say that's very serious.
Actually, no one deserves Christ. Did Christ deserve to become man? Did Christ deserve to live as a common person, being the son of a carpenter? Did Christ deserve to have an unfair trial by the Sanhedrin? Did Christ deserve to be crucified for having done no sin? Don't we deserve death by penalty of sin? Don't we deserve wrath because God's justice demands it? Don't we deserve to be forgotten by God because we're much much less significant, almost worthless? The answers to those questions (no, no, no, no, yes, yes, yes) are evident, yet the fact that reality is not that for the one who puts his/her trust in Christ alone and faith in the saving grace of God. Yet what makes it so has nothing to do with us---why in spite of these rhetorical questions Christ still came to earth, lived a perfect life that no one could, and died in place of sinners who would believe in Him so they would have life---it has everything to do with the character of God and who He is. Look to Christ, not yourself, if you want to begin to have understanding. Look to Christ and see Him as how the Bible portrays Him. Look to Christ. There is nothing in you that would merit Christ's death. Who is Christ then? John 1:1 What is God's heart toward us? John 3:16 How did Christ live on earth? Matt 20:28 What did Christ's death accomplish? 1 Peter 2:24 Now look to Gal. 2:15-21. Verse 21 indicates that it was necessary for Christ to die, because righteousness comes through and from Him. Why? Read 1 Cor 1:20-30. In the wisdom of God, the only way to the Father and to be declared, not become, righteous is Christ (John 14:6), where we have access to eternal life. Christ imputes his righteousness onto His followers. Why? Read Eph 2:1-10. Verse 7 and 8 tell us the reason, that Christ "may show us the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus", and those He predestined and redeemed by grace are saved through faith, which is not our own doing but the gift of God. In the end, Christ died so that we may enjoy Him forever and that He is to be glorified. John Piper puts it this way: The chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever. How does that happen? Look to Ezekiel 36:25-32. Verse 26 is the clearest. "And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." A promise from the Old Testament is fulfilled through Christ, who is the cause of spiritual regeneration. This verse is dear to me, and I love the promise He holds in it. You probably have these thoughts going about in your mind, or maybe something else. Let me ask; is it that: Are you choosing to willfully sin against God? Are you delighting in your sin? Are you darkening your heart and understanding despite having knowledge of Christ? Take a look at 2 Cor 13:5-9 and think about it. Examine yourself and pray about it. It is a grace from God to be able to identify where your heart is as you described. The one you're sorry to isn't the people who you confess too, nor is it yourself. Let me know if you have questions or what you're thinking through with a reply. Praying for you.
I recall Romans 5:20 and I quote Rom 5:20 ISV Now the Law crept in so that the offense would increase. But where sin increased, grace increased even more, There is no escaping the grace of God. Psa 34:8 ISV Taste and see that the LORD is good! How blessed is the person who trusts in him!
“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;” Psalms 103:8-17 KJV The Lord is merciful to those that truly love him and want to obey him from the heart!
No your sins cannot thwart God's plan for anyone, but sin can produce doubt about your salvation. Without assurance of salvation, you become slothful, full of self pity, and unwilling to do anything. God has a plan for you, but you need to have the confidence to step out and walk out his plan but this confidence can only be obtained through assurance of salvation. You are saved regardless, so step out and walk out God's plan knowing you have God's favor and help when you need it.
10:18 is so powerful! I never thought of Paul in this way. His words mean so much more: "One thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead" Thank you Lord!
I think the key word in Mr. Pipers comments is the word "had", meaning past tense. Could you imagine Paul saying this same thing while continuing to persecute those you followed Christ?

Isaiah 61:3 Beauty for ashes. Came to mind, when needing comfort about bad things we have done. Or have been done unto us. It reminds us that even if it was meant for evil God can use it for good. Know that even if there’s not a solution we can see in front of us. And the only thing we can think to do in our power was “not to have done something in the past.” Know that our God is great & He will work it out into something we couldn’t. For every trial there’s a testimony. For every battle a victory. So don’t let your grief of the past keep what God has for you.

It’s not my comfort or joy I’m so worried about, it’s the comfort and joy of my 21 year old child. It’s very very hard to watch her turn so dark. I pray for her every single day pouring my heart out to God with my grief to open her eyes back up. I just cannot bare the thought of her going to hell. I know I need to have faith and I do, but the grief of watching her cut all over her body with evil tattoos, play with marijuana and alcohol, and everything in between is so scary for me and I don’t know how to have fullness of joy right now. Thank you so much for your valuable answer. I am praying much for your health and long life for us.
Abba father, I agreement with this whole message I bind the words of 2 corinthians 5:10, ephesians 6:8, 1 corinthians 3:13 sin will not ruin God his purpose for my life, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
The starting point certainly is repenting of those sins and then prayer for the Holy Spirit to help grow faith and turn away from sin. Aim for the prize like Paul said to the churches in Corinth (1 Corinthians 9) and Philippi (Philippians 3).
That's not what Jesus Christ taught because we are all fallen sinners and we cannot save ourselves. We are saved by grace through faith. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." If you were right then Jesus wouldn't have had to come and die on the cross.

Hi, I deeply struggle with OCD.. terrible thoughts I cannot or hardly control... I never wanted those... yet they came... ever since I "allowed them" (I had no idea how to fight them) the Holy Spirit had been coutioning me, warning me, asking me to repent, yet I couldn't... I hate(d) these thoughs but yet they happened to me... and though I hate them I cannot control them.. now I feel I have drifted further away from the LORD than ever.. a few weeks ago I lived very close to Him, yet I did fear Him in an unhealthy matter... Now I feel I cannot return.. I feel like I ruined everything.. I was do grateful for the life He had given to me, and now I am a wwreck... I cannot face even brothers and sisters whom I deeply love... I do.. which is why I am so shattered everytime I feel the extreme weire thoughts coming...
OCD thoughts aren’t anything to repent of. They aren’t things you want. Get treatment man! God wants for your mind to be healed, but He very likely wants for you to take action to find that restoration.

Good teaching. On one level, everything that happens in the universe is part of God's perfect plan, so on that level we can't damage his plan for our lives. On another level, every time we sin we damage God's plan for our lives. We act worse than we should have done, so God has to revise his plan for us downwards. But all Christians are in the same boat in this respect. We all wish we could change things in the past. But God delights to forgive us and take us forward from where we are. As John Piper said: 'Today is the beginning of the rest of your life.'
Max... you actually said (and I quote) "... so God has to REVISE HIS PLAN for us..... What kind of nonsense are you thinking child? On the level of damaging God's plan for our lives, see Luke 7:30: 'But the Pharisees and teachers of the law rejected God's plan [boule] for themselves, not having been baptized by him [John the Baptist].' The Greek word I have translated by 'plan' here is boule, which is best translated as 'plan' or 'purpose' in this context. Most English translations have one or other of these English words in this verse. The verse clearly implies that the Pharisees and teachers of the law not only didn't LIKE God's plan but that they didn't DO his plan.

For though I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it-for I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while- I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. There is no sin that is bigger than God's Grace. Saying "God has Plan A, B, C and I can alter that" is giving yourself way too much credit. God is not a liar, nor is He weak. @@maxaplin4204 My point is that ultimately God's will gets done regardless of rebellion or not. You're talking about a relatively temporary act of rebellion vs. the large picture of God's Grace and Sovereignty. Our existence is a blink of an eye compared to Him, but our purposes can still be fulfilled by God whether we know it or not. We are characters woven into the story that is determined, written, and published by God. Am I saying free will is an illusion? Yes and no. Free Will exists to magnify our joy in Christ through willful participation with the Lord, or increase our depression/anxiety through willful rebellion toward God. But to think that we can change the narrative by our actions is arrogant and erroneous. Put it simply, the beginning and end is written. Free will affects your enjoyment of the journey. God blesses us in the New Testament by turning us away from our iniquities, Acts 3:25-26. Here is how He does this. Hebrews 12:4-11 KJVS [4] Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. [5] And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: [6] For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. [7] If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? [8] But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. [9] Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? [10] For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. [11] Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. www.justifiedfreely.com

Eileen, The answers can be found in Romans Chapter 8. Pls read the whole chapter and meditate on it.. ...if you live in the flesh, you will die but if by the Spirit , you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live! (Verse 13). How to live? The answer is to die all day long, everyday of your life...(verse 36). And experience the joy of victory and the freedom that the Holy Spirit gives everytime He kills the deeds of your sinful flesh.. But keep on reading the Words of God because it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6.17)...

You need to re-think the Providence of God. -------------------- Php_2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. --------------------
God doesn't have a plan B. All of God's plans for us are plan A. Was Jesus coming to earth plan B just in case Adam and Eve sinned? Indeed not! If God has a plan B then He ceases to be God.
This question should be easy to answer for calvinists: No it doesn't because it is God's plan that you sin, because you have no free will and you were predestined to do it.
In 1 Samuel 13, God said he would have blessed Saul if he hadn’t sinned. How would you explain that? God works all things for our good - does he even work our own sins for our good?
What happens if I’ve just confessed all my sins to God and die straight after? What happens to me? Will I still be judged for all those sins? Aren’t they off the table as I’ve been forgiven?
I’m still confused. My wife and I have been separated for a year now from mistakes we’ve both made over the years. I don’t want to give up on us but our fights were more stressful to her and she’s really considering divorce. She goes by herself to counseling with a Christian Psychologist and even counsels with our Pastor and they say I could be reaping what I’ve sown now and God might allow a divorce in our case. There was no actual adultery committed but there was flirting on social media. And they say since I cheated in my heart it’s the same as actually doing it. And there were some fights where we both kinda got pushy with one another but there wasn’t actual hitting. They also use scripture to justify divorce with that. I’ve been repentant and going to counseling myself also but like I said, she tells me she’s waiting on God to hear what she should do but I could be reaping what I’ve sown if a divorce takes place. I’m very confused and extremely hurt. 12 years of marriage and 2 children with a house. No grace no mercy for me?
How can I know He’s forgiven me? How can I know He still loves me and hasn’t left me? I was hype for Him but struggled with unbelief for a short period. It’s been a while n things are different.
You can know. Believe his word. Believe as best you can and ask him to help your unbelief. Father, help Alexus to know the love of Jesus. Show him the way and enable him by the power of your Holy Spirit to know that he is forgiven. Amen
Not a good answer this time in my opinion. Here's why. If you notice, in the question itself, it was actually very UNCLEAR whether or not the person asking the question had really even repented. There may have been "remorse", but remorse and repentance are two very different things. And the person asking the question kept blending "present tense" with "past tense" and went back and forth between the two when talking about her sin. And the question ended on a present tense... "my sinning..." The first thing John should have done was to address whether or not the person was repentant and then to draw a clear distinction that the totality of the answer which was to follow was predicated on the assumption that the individual had repented, even though the question does not make that clear. And then he should have ended his answer by saying that everything he just said, DOES NOT apply, if indeed the person asking was still living in their sin or not turned away from it. If you are in doubt about what I am saying here, go back, listen CAREFULLY to the question again, and then match that with the answer, and you will see that John sort of misses it on this one. Things are not clarified enough to build upon the response that John formulates. If you really listen to the question, it indicates that the person made bad choices and decisions in the past, but is still LIVING with those decisions now rather than turning from them in repentance - and is sort of hoping/wondering if enough time and remorse can eventually compensate for a lack of actual repentance.

"Trust and obey!" Great song. I heard it some time ago for the first time at church.
@@yestothetruthit's impossible to repent of sin until you are forgiven. An unsaved person who doesn't have the power of Christ can't change. So don't say "don't talk about forgiveness".
Luke 5:22
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Important note, repentance isn't even an action.
Luke 24:46-47
[46] and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, [47] and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
Acts 2:38
[38] And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
If you can't relate to the sense of these scriptures, I'd say that's very serious.
I don't deserve Christ because of my sins. I've chosen foolishness over dwelling close to Christ's heart. I'm really sorry
The answers to those questions (no, no, no, no, yes, yes, yes) are evident, yet the fact that reality is not that
for the one who puts his/her trust in Christ alone and faith in the saving grace of God.
Yet what makes it so has nothing to do with us---why in spite of these rhetorical questions Christ still came to
earth, lived a perfect life that no one could, and died in place of sinners who would believe in Him so they would
have life---it has everything to do with the character of God and who He is.
Look to Christ, not yourself, if you want to begin to have understanding. Look to Christ and see Him as how
the Bible portrays Him. Look to Christ. There is nothing in you that would merit Christ's death.
Who is Christ then? John 1:1
What is God's heart toward us? John 3:16
How did Christ live on earth? Matt 20:28
What did Christ's death accomplish? 1 Peter 2:24
Now look to Gal. 2:15-21. Verse 21 indicates that it was necessary for Christ to die, because righteousness
comes through and from Him. Why?
Read 1 Cor 1:20-30. In the wisdom of God, the only way to the Father and to be declared, not become,
righteous is Christ (John 14:6), where we have access to eternal life. Christ imputes his righteousness
onto His followers. Why?
Read Eph 2:1-10. Verse 7 and 8 tell us the reason, that Christ "may show us the immeasurable riches of His
grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus", and those He predestined and redeemed by grace are saved
through faith, which is not our own doing but the gift of God.
In the end, Christ died so that we may enjoy Him forever and that He is to be glorified. John Piper puts it this way:
The chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever.
How does that happen? Look to Ezekiel 36:25-32. Verse 26 is the clearest. "And I will give you a new heart, and a
new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."
A promise from the Old Testament is fulfilled through Christ, who is the cause of spiritual regeneration.
This verse is dear to me, and I love the promise He holds in it.
You probably have these thoughts going about in your mind, or maybe something else.
Let me ask; is it that:
Are you choosing to willfully sin against God?
Are you delighting in your sin?
Are you darkening your heart and understanding despite having knowledge of Christ?
Take a look at 2 Cor 13:5-9 and think about it. Examine yourself and pray about it.
It is a grace from God to be able to identify where your heart is as you described.
The one you're sorry to isn't the people who you confess too, nor is it yourself.
Let me know if you have questions or what you're thinking through with a reply. Praying for you.
I recall Romans 5:20 and I quote
Rom 5:20 ISV Now the Law crept in so that the offense would increase. But where sin increased, grace increased even more,
There is no escaping the grace of God.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;”
Psalms 103:8-17 KJV
The Lord is merciful to those that truly love him and want to obey him from the heart!
I struggle with assurance so bad bc I look at my disgusting sin
10:18 is so powerful! I never thought of Paul in this way. His words mean so much more: "One thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead" Thank you Lord!
You will be Saved from sin when you stop sinning. It is not that hard to understand.

I think the key word in Mr. Pipers comments is the word "had", meaning past tense. Could you imagine Paul saying this same thing while continuing to persecute those you followed Christ?
Explain what that means since you know 10:18 so well.
@@kathleenwharton2139 that is a great explanation. However , we need to remember my friend we all have a sinful nature , and until the day we die we will have errors and temptations and we will still fall short. We don’t want to at all , but we do … Romans 7:18-20. However , I do agree with you that when we keep striving and keep walking in the Spirit we will overcome sin . It is truly amazing ! But there have also been times I’ve made the mistake again .
This very question was troubling me for awhile now.
To sum this question up I think Paul's example of victory over his past is a good example. Press on to change the future people, God makes it possible to overcome the past!
Remember too: He knew what sins you commit before the world began and planned for them. Nothing surprises him.
Right you are! All our sins past, present and future were dealt with on the cross!

❤ thank you for this.
We are Saved from sin when we stop sinning. It is not the hard to understand.
Max... you actually said (and I quote) "... so God has to REVISE HIS PLAN for us.....
What kind of nonsense are you thinking child? Do you REALLY believe something you do was not known
before you were born (and was PART of His Plan).
--------------
Do you REALLY think that you (a puny little mortal) can make God "revise His plan"
Please tell me you misspoke and realize that YOU do not make God do anything.
-----------------
Php_2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
-----------------
On the level of damaging God's plan for our lives, see Luke 7:30:
'But the Pharisees and teachers of the law rejected God's plan [boule] for themselves, not having been baptized by him [John the Baptist].'
The Greek word I have translated by 'plan' here is boule, which is best translated as 'plan' or 'purpose' in this context. Most English translations have one or other of these English words in this verse.
The verse clearly implies that the Pharisees and teachers of the law not only didn't LIKE God's plan but that they didn't DO his plan.
@@maxaplin4204 .... Max, if you are going to make an analogy you have to do apples to apples.
When you compare apples to oranges you are only building a strawman.
------------------
When you compare Pharisees to the saved "wheat/sheep" of the church you are making
a strawman. If you compared Pharisees to the unsaved "tares" in the church (sown by Satan)
THEN you MIGHT have a valid analogy.
--------------------
Remember child, the Bible separates all people into three (3) categories.
If you do not discern the CONTEXT of a passage (which group is in view)
than you have no hope of understanding the MEANING of the passage:
--------------------
(1) The saved "wheat/sheep" in the church sown by God
(2) The unsaved "tares/goats" in the church sown by Satan (and children of Satan)
(3) All the lost souls OUTSIDE the church (also children of Satan) like Jews and Moslims
and Buddhists and Hindus and Atheists and Agnostics and Humanists and Pagans and Satanists
----------------------
So your analogy above applies to ONLY (#3) above and SOME (#2)... because some of the
unsaved tares do actually LIKE God's plan and they do actually TRY to repent.
------------------------
Just a perspective of WHY it is always important for a preacher to show the CONTEXT
of the passage before trying to understand the MEANING of the passage.
---------------------------
So you Pharisee analogy applies to all of group (#3) and some of group (#2)
but NONE of group (#1)
------------------------------
Such a great message!
For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.

@@irsshill4502It seems you have been deceived into accepting the false gospel of conversation in favor of the true gospel of transformation. Yes, we're justified by what Christ DID on the cross, but we're sanctified by what He's DOING in us and through us. To accept the sacrifice of the Lamb without applying the blood to the doorpost of our heart is tramping the blood of Christ underfoot (Hebrews 12:26-29).
Tom Morrow No, you have been deceived just as the Galatians were, you are justified by the law and not by Grace. You have more faith in the law my brother, our God already died for us. It is his blood and what he did for you, remember Abraham dont be Agar son.
Thank you. I have so much guilt myself. How can I get started working for Gods kingdom now?
Not just ur own life but Tha life of others that surround you.
😇Very cool! God bless!👍
A must listen!
There is no sin that is bigger than God's Grace. Saying "God has Plan A, B, C and I can alter that" is giving yourself way too much credit. God is not a liar, nor is He weak. He invites us into willing partnership. But His will gets done either way. You either do what He wants you to do willingly, or He will drag you into it kicking and screaming
Best simple explanation I’ve heard so far
@@christopherstevenson4823 its my life haha. I'm learning that I must do what He wants, regardless of whether I enjoy it or not. I've sought other alternatives, but He closed every door I tried to open. The only way out is through
Edit: and His plan is really good too. It's just not MY plan, and my heart naturally rebels against it because I am a control freak
plyzwthsqrlz I swear you so used to being in control of everything and to give up control to him completely is hard but like you said worth it and the best and because of that he gives us what we need and the desires of our heart
I think God sometimes drags people into doing what he wants kicking and screaming. But usually he allows us to use our wills to reject him.
On one level God's will is always done. But on another level God allows us to go against his will.
Edit: I have plenty of stories as examples, but what I said IS Biblical and shown through the story of Jonah
Piper is right that at the judgment tribunal of Christ Christians will be given different rewards. So on the new earth some us us will be blessed in some ways that others aren't. But even the least blessed will have unspeakable joy.
You will be Saved from sin when you stop sinning. It is not that hard to understand. Piper hasn’t got a clue what will happen in the new earth. He is Not God.
Max... do you have any SCRIPTURE that teaches God CHANGES our rewards based
on our daily actions... that was the premise of the video. And that is not Biblical.
---------
Unless you have some SCRIPTURE that teaches it is Biblical?

so for 1john 1:8 you have to read 1John 1:7 KJV
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
so if we say we have no sin we're saying we don't need his blood to cleanseth us. we would be saying were already sin free or never sinned 1john 1:8 & 1:10 right in between 1:8 & 1:10 is 1:9 which says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. it doesn’t mean keep sinning rinse and repeat confess sin repeat confess. We all need to come to repentance and change our entire life walk away from this world. in matthew 5:48 says Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. in 1 John 3:9 says
[9] Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. And in john 8:11 and john 5:14 Jesus said “go and sin no more “ he didn’t say go and sin a little, or go and sin sometimes, he said “go and sin no more!”
God doesn’t make things we cannot do or he would be an unjust God.
so please don’t think its ok to sin or that you can’t stop sinning look at what sins your doing in your life and think. with the free will that Gods giving me. should i use it to sin or not to sin?
Amen, thank you so much, it touched me greatly.
Every single time I read the different posts about pastor john, all of the comments are usually the same thing over and over.,

I needed this👏🏾😭😫
If we Repent with a God remorse we must turn from that Sin we must not repent and then continue in the same sin. I don't believe it's once saved always saved we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling. We are called to be holy as He is holy. We must not think to highly of ourselves.
Honesty is a virtue ..i'de say yes GOD does not like sin..
Give thanks to Christ🙏🙏
God blesses us in the New Testament by turning us away from our iniquities, Acts 3:25-26. Here is how He does this.
Hebrews 12:4-11 KJVS
[4] Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Short answer NO.
Please pray for me I keep falling back into sin
Behold the Lamb of God who TAKES AWAY (past tense) the sin of the world...Gods plan is already fulfilled...Those who come inline with His plan are saved for eternal life.
i.e. if You can still sin, You are not inline with God

Exactly! I repented..And I Obey Gods Commandments with Jesus Help. The devil would certainly want you to believe you can never stop sinning. You are his perfect candidate.
Thank you for this answer to this question I have asked this alot to myself but I truly believe that if God Almighty IAM has ordained something to come to pass it will come to pass because it's what HE ordained now it can be done the easy way or the hard way due to sin. I feel it makes us lose out in alot of the blessings that HE wants us to have during the journey but if your in bad sin alot it takes you away from the Holy Bible or something special that the Lord would be having you do in which would be in His will!... I'm not perfect but sin is sin but HE also wants us to be Holy as HE is holy!!!... These are my opinions of this question???... I'll take it to the cross but I know if you sin. He does punish us and chastise us because we are loved by us and He wants us to be like HIM!...HOLY
Eileen,
The answers can be found in Romans Chapter 8.
God Never ordained you to sin. God gives us free will and you will be saved from sin when you stop sinning. It is not that hard to understand.

You are Not like Jesus until you Obey Gods Commandments. Jesus Obeyed Gods commandments. You are Not going to be Holy..until you do the Work.

Obey Gods Commandments and Seek Jesus for your Help. He explains this all in the First seven chapters of Matthew.
Faith and repentance is ongoing
Let's be honest, the holy ghost is the best reward a believer can receive you are lowkey gaining God himself.
I’ve stopped certain sins, just to start new ones, I’ve made no room for God anymore in my life and it’s breaking me, the struggle, the will to try n get back right is fleeting. It’s as if I’ve committed spiritual suicide. But I’ve come to far to back, and I can’t keep going cause I’m so worthless.
Go back. Run. Go back.
You have a chance. Go back
I recommend you lookup this message on RUclips:
_"Born Again Through Repentance And Faith"_ by Zac Poonen.
You can start listening at 23:38.
Peace to you!
I’m struggling too, but I also know I wanna keep pressing into God to change me. Keep getting back up brother. Keep reaching out to God.
Just like how we drift into the sea, may the Lord be your island. For when you have wandered far, let him be your security and your anchor. Reject things that are provoking you to sin and reach out to God. Continue praying, reading His word and day by day continue to ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you day by day.
Praise Alaha!
Praise GOD the Father!
Is there even such a thing as plan A or plan B?
Wouldn’t even our own sins and consequences hence after, be all under God’s sovereign plan all together? Thanks to whoever can elaborate.
Sin is never God's will but He uses even our failures for our betterment
I think on one level God's perfect, sovereign plan for our lives is always done.
But I think on another level, God does keep revising his plan for our lives. When we sin, we do worse than we could or should have done, so there is constant revision going on.
The Boss.... You are correct. God does not REVISE His plan for us every day according to our works.
The notion makes a MOCKERY of God's foreknowledge and autonomy - while elevating MEN to the
point of MOVING GOD to act based on OUR autonomy (which is non existant)

Php_2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

@@maxaplin4204 ... the notion that God must REVISE His plan for us daily (based on our works)

God doesn't have a plan B. All of God's plans for us are plan A. Was Jesus coming to earth plan B just in case Adam and Eve sinned? Indeed not! If God has a plan B then He ceases to be God.
Amazing. Well said child of God
That made me realize a lot of things. Thanks! Humans will never understand the very depths of LORD GOD'S magnificence.
Amen.

My life (IMO), is ruined beyond repair. May God forgive me.
Hello. No your life is not ruined! You will be amazed what Jesus can do when you submit to Him. I will pray for you. X
I’ll pray for you too! Strive to believe in Jesus, sin doesn’t love us but God loves us...
Just a reminder...
Hope u are still following Christ? It's 3 yrs now..
I understand we have to pay the consequences for the things we've done, but will GOD ever change your circumstances?
If you believe that the LORD JESUS is the MAKER of everything NEW. 2Cor.5:17
How can I know He’s forgiven me? How can I know He still loves me and hasn’t left me? I was hype for Him but struggled with unbelief for a short period. It’s been a while n things are different.
Because, it's a bunch of bullshit!

"my sinning..."
The first thing John should have done was to address whether or not the person was repentant and then to draw a clear distinction that the totality of the answer which was to follow was predicated on the assumption that the individual had repented, even though the question does not make that clear.
Amen!
Rejoincing to do His will... that’s the thing
