So I bought the 7.5 joule version, with an 11 joule valve, and a power kit. After stripping the aluminum firing pin, I finally was able to get it out and make the change. In my haste, some pieces came dislodged. If it wasn’t for your easy to follow step by step instructions, I’d have a paper weight. Thanks man!
I know this is a old video but I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU!! I did a power upgrade on my TR50 and didn't want to take the shortcuts of the disassembly knowing that I would have springs everywhere. Followed the detailed and well explained instructions and everything went perfectly. Thanks again!!
I got the TR50 7.5 Joule version. Then I went to HomeDefence-24 and got the HDR50 7.5 Joule version valve upgrade kit that made it 3 times more powerful. The pressure chamber in the 11 Joule version is smaller so not as powerful as the 7.5 Joule version With the Valve kit and remove the valve (throttle in the pressure chamber) Increases the performance to over 20 joules!
Instead of using a metal flat screwdriver to separate the halves of the pistol. You might want to start out using guitar picks. Guitar picks are made of a heavy plastic very thin very strong. Great way to start separating the two halves without scratching or marring plastic or painted surfaces
I think the result of the change-over should have been part of this video. Simple before and after results of impact, velocity and overall hitting power demonstration really should’ve been shone here.
Thank you - I found this absolutely the clearest and best video for fitting back together all those fiddly springs and levers in the trigger mechanism.
*_Thank you for such well put together step-by-step set of instructions!_* I left the C02 cartridge in my tr50 and broke the valve! So, I upgraded it following your instructions and it took me about an hour with all the double-checking (rewinding & play)!
Wow! You didn't need to show how to replace all the springs and levers but Thank You a Ton that you did!! I tried to fix a problem and ended up with a ziplock full of parts. You saved my HDR50 For Sure. Thanks again for taking the time to share your knowledge!!
Mine just arrived today and have ordered the upgrade. Hope all goes well lol. Thanks for a great video and your time to teach us the ins and outs. Will be watching more. Would love to get max power out of this beast
Impressive video. Could you extend the explanation of the internals. Especially how the gun actually shoots. What is different once it is under pressure. What exactly are the sequence of events when you pull the trigger, rotate the mag, push out the firing pin, actually fire and the retraction of the firing pin. It would be REALLY interesting and helpful to do a fully cycle explain video on the HDR50.
Leave springs, triggers and things in place (with left hand). Put in the bits and pieces from HD-24. For 25 ish joules. 8.3g chrome steel balls. Will need a sandpaper cigar to lightly sand out the chambers (not much) just snugg. Be careful now, you have something different.
Damm I opened it and every spring flew out I thought I wasn't going to be able to assemble it together but you were very clear on how to position everything 😃
Forget my last question figured it out that one little spring that go's into the triangle and comes to add tension moved and I missed it so I watched your video and saw what I did wrong 11 joules kicks ass🤪🤪🤪🤪
Great video for TR-50 11 joul but is there an upgrade valve for TR-50 2 gen. 13 joule? If there is, is the procedure to change it same as shown for 11joul.
thank you so much, the springs had gone every where and I managed to put it back together. I then saw one spring out and new inevitably I would have to under do it all. was thanks to your video I saw it was part fo the sidewafds mechanism that helps the magazine turn. thank you sooo much for video, very helpful! 🙏
I have upgraded my T4E .50 Cal Revolver with a TR50 11 Joule Valve Upgrade. The video on the dis-assembly and re-assembly was great - I even took some pictures on my cell phone to ensure that I put all of the items together correctly. My problem is this,,,, after reassembling the unit, the cylinder does not rotate correctly. Is there a video on making the magazine turn available for viewing?
I screwed my TR50 up. I ordered the 11 joule valve and removed the block. I had an issue with a spring but got it back in place. When I fire the gun, the co2 dumps completely 1st shot and seems to jam. Could I have a trigger mechanism issue or can I not operate the gun without the valve block? I realize the heavy CO2 usage and I’m fine with that. I have my HDP 50 set up like this and I get 5 hard shots. That is enough for a self defense situation. Any advice is appreciated.
why is it you have it on your website but you cant ship it due to you dont have the product in stock and you tell customer that you wouldnt have it til 2022 summer but you have customer cash already but no product ship
Great video I'm waiting on an upgrade part for my T4E TR 50 and was wondering what was involved in installing it I don't expect it to go as smoothly as it was for you but you have probably done it a few times but I'm confident I will be ok I take wrist watches apart and clean then & reassemble on a daily basis I figure if I can repair old antique watches I cam manage this but I'm still saving this video for reference thanks for a awesome video
I just got a TR50 but haven’t fired it yet. The shots are very difficult to push into the clip. Yes, I’m pushing them into the clip from the downstream / barrel side, other side is impossible. I have .50 yellow pvc shot AND .50 cal steel bearing type shot, but neither push in very easily. I have two other Umarex guns (HDS68, HDP68) that have much looser tolerances and easier to load. Is this a problem?
I did this upgrade which I purchased from directly from ANSgear Paintball and after installation I inserted a new umarex co2 cartridge and fired a few rounds and put the gun away. several days later I went to fire the gun and all the co2 was empty! Before i did the 11 joule valve upgrade i would leave my gun fully charged with a new co2 punctured and ready to fire for weeks at a time and go to fire it and not a drop of co2 leaked at all. So someone please tell me why I'm now leaking c02 after valve upgrade. Called ANSgear and they told me to call umarex USA because he's never heard of someone leaving a punctured co2 in the gun for long periods of time and not leak. What am I suppose to wait for an incident to arise and need my gun then have to insert new co2 and wait to pucture it so I can fire a round or 2 and then have all the co2 leak out!????
Hello, You are a good teacher, I went on your website, I would like to buy the one that is already upgraded with the new valve. I do not know exactly which one it is. Do you have a problem shipping to Canada. If you take the time to answer me, tell me which one it is.
I have that doubt but it seems to me that it is screwed because I have seen another one that has grooves around it and it was a crimped valve. It seems to me that the ones with the two holes are screwed.
Hay Rory I have a question I installed the 11 Joule upgrade everything went in smoothly afterwards I tested it out and I noticed that if I rapid fire it tends to do a pop pop pop after about the 2nd or 3rd shot only when I pull the trigger fast otherwise it seems to be fine any idea what causes that at first I thought I had a leak so I held it up to my ear nothing I could hear it's like the triggers stuck but it's not just rapid pops after I rapid fire after letting go of the trigger
Is it still firing when you rapid fire like that? And then you get a backfire ? Kinda like when you get a nice shift in your car? Haha I noticed in every video I've seen of someone firing a 11 joule they fire it slow
I basically ruined my gun trying to install the 11 joule upgrade. Watched this video over and over while attempting to get all the fussy little parts back in working order and it doesn’t work. I have to take it apart again and try over…

hi where did you buy the kit from im in the uk and want to up the powet on my 7.5 version
I got the TR50 7.5 Joule version.

Increases the performance to over 20 joules!

do you know how many fps its shooting at 20 joules?
@@rawbeejay
No, but the power kit must improve the power. I've just never seen a video for the 7.5 power kit.
@@danielquesnel130
Thanks. I'm still waiting for the Power Kit to be delivered.
I got the kit for the 7.5j the barrel and aluminium drum. Ammo maker too. It’s quite the marker now.

I'm 80 and would like to up.grade when I buy one
The best video on this I have seen yet, thanks. Can you use pepper balls after the upgrade
Get the pepper on ebay otherwise no
You really dont need pepper balls if you upgrade a 7.5. and use proper ammo.

That screw hanging was driving me nuts! 😂
I own this as well my wife carries it everywhere in her purse. I have all my guns set just above 450 on the crono ! 50 cal riot ball from Valken !
a diy spring compression tool seems like it would be easy to brew up for that barrel spring
Cmon it will take longer to fabricate that than it would be to do by hand😂
I followed your video step-by-step and installed the 11 joule valve but now the round magazine spins freely and is loose. What did I do wrong???
Thanks I used this ! Worked great. Hard to get screws out tho
That crazy spring is not "a given" if your steady it will stay put. Just anticipate. Have a look at RUNE REBEL.
Thank you for your work and a fantastic explanation I have, I have a question, that valve, the valve tube is screwed in, right?
I just ordered the Home Defense Tactical Kit 2 from your website tonight. Pretty stoked for it to arrive so I can test it out at my range. HNY Folks

great video. How would we know if we have one already in gun please? The box says 450 fps. Its only a few months old. Thanks.

Rory, my kit came with a valve in the box, labeled C571-D1 which valve is it? Thinking my 11 joule may be already installed.
May be wishful thinking.....
What is the number on your removed valve?
Late here but the C571-D1 valve is the 11 joule one.
Excellent explanation there, thank you! Just one question: Is this TR.50 the same model as the HDR.50 in Europe/Germany??
yes its the same. in Germany its called HDR for home defense revolver
Did you put the pin in I never seen it
