  • Here are basic vocabulary for Thanksgiving in American Sign Language (ASL). Examples of signs are TURKEY, POTATOES, SALAD, FAMILY, GET TOGETHER, BREAD, BUTTER, etc.

    Wonderful video. Clear signs and nice to show more than one way to sign a word. THANK YOU for including the word prayer!! Isn't that part of Thanksgiving, not just food. The first people at Thanksgiving prayed and thanked God that they were alive, because it was a harsh life and crops didn't grow well. This is a perfect video to learn Thanksgiving signs!! Many thanks!

    @josephwheeler Would you double check that first sign for dinner? ASLthat! maybe? It's just the first time I've seen that as a proper sign for eating. It also looks a little like SWEET/SUGAR. Thanks in advance. You rock! ILY!

      When he signed "sweet" it was as a second option for "dessert"...the caption reading "dinner" just appeared a moment too soon.

    I work at a nursing home here in Savannah. I need to know the signs for when one of the dryers or washers aren't working properly.
