Unfortunately my little pygmy is not much of a people goat. We cannot touch her. I know she's close. Maybe 1 to 2 weeks. Hope it goes well. Wish we could confirm another way. Guess we just wait to see it actually happening! Thanks for the video and info.
Thanks for watching the videos and thanks for taking the time to send us a message. She should start to “bag-out” about 2-3 weeks prior to kidding. This is the term many use to describe when the milk starts to come in. The problem is, some sheep and goats don’t show much progress until the baby is already delivered. MOST will bag out, however. This is probably your best cue given the circumstances.
@@LinessaFarms Yes I have read a bunch and watching close for her to fill up. But nothing yet. However vulva is very soft puffy loose. She's got a basketball for a stomach now and clearly not comfortable laying down. Knocks the other girl pygmy out of the way to try and eat all the food. Runs funny as her legs cannot go forward so they kinda woddle to each side. Last 2 days it's dropped down a bit. Sides are sinking in and changing. She won't let us touch here neither does the other one. We don't know there history but guessing they where not close pets as they don't like to get close. I am making progress scratching faces and today able to pet there necks while they eat. We had then for about 3 and half months now. The other girl is not fat at all and has same personality it had when it arrived. This one we are sure is pregnant has an entirely different personality over the last few weeks. Her belly is now dipping low. If she lays down right the vulva or pooch what ever you want to call it opens up some. If she turns to scratch her sides with horns it opens. They say if it's this relaxed that only happens when pregnant to. She's also scratching everything. Her tummy her sides her pooch her tail udder it's all itchy I guess and she rubs on everything she can with a soothing look on face. Nuts. So hopefully soon we get a baby. I don't know. Many signs are there. Really only one I cannot check is ligament and no bagging visually yet. Although entire area is round from big ol belly. But bag itself has not enlarged. Tits are more visable due to belly droop.
