After about 6 runs it had memorized the pool and left it very clean The micro filter even finally got rid of fine sand left by an old sand filter. It's rare I give 5 stars but this unit really deserves it.
Hello. We have this model, but don't understand the meaning of the display options. I can't find a guide anywhere. Ours has 2 buttons, the first with 1,2,3 options and the second with full circle or half circle icons. Can you tell us what this means? Thanks very much for your help!
I think 1 of the buttons is for delayed start. I cannot remember what the other button is for but I would guess its a quick clean or floor only setting from memory. I mainly used the Bluetooth function and not the power supply for changing settings.
Can anyone enlighten me on the insane options to the Dolphin Line? Incredibly confusing and redundant... The S300i appears to be extremily simular to the 2017 Triton Plus... What is the story? Is the 300 previous version? what is the difference and how do you navigate all these stinking options...
Hi, if you scan my comments with A Todd if may provide you with some of the information you are looking for. The S300i is not the same as the Triton plus, they are close but with some differences. Such as the capabilities on the app (Advanced vs basic) and the included caddy on the S300i. The equal to the S300i is the Active 30i. The Triton plus is more close to the S300. I also have a written review here www.troublefreepool.com/threads/132722-Dolphin-S300i-Review and another video on youtube explaining my purchase experience ruclips.net/video/d-fVhU2-LbM/видео.html let me know if you have more questions.
Well, I just received it today and figured I'd give you a quick update in case anyone else searches for this piece of equipment and reads these. Anyway, from what I can tell, the cleaner is the exact same as yours. Connects through bluetooth to the app on my phone and everything. I just put it in the water a little while ago but it has multiple modes including a quick clean mode. The only difference I have found, and one I'm a little miffed at, but you warned me about, is that it did not come with a cady. So I'm a bit disappointed with that. But all in all, while it would be incredibly convenient to have and use, it is not a make or break issue for me. At least not right now. But so far so good. Just have to give it a few hours and hope it cleans well. I see some good tracks in there but I know it's going to take a lot to clean this thing out after the winter! Anyway, just thought you'd like an update.
A Todd thanks for the update. Yea I bet they are the same from a tech perspective (motor, size etc.) with some small detail differences. I am interested to know what your app offers, I know the app allows certain things for certain robots. What are the cycle times? I have 1.5 hour, 2 hour and 2.5 hour. Also what modes are there? I have five different modes, regular, fast, floor, waterline and ultra clean. Does it allow you to set the weekly timer and delay from the app? The s300 doesn't have all of these options on the app. I love it when I am seeing the clean lines after the first few minutes of cleaning.
Good review! Sadly I do believe mine is equivalent to the s300 then. I have not played around with the app much but all I see are manual mode and the links/info buttons. I am not seeing the extras to program the timer, set the mode, etc... So I need to figure out how to program it and all of that without the app. Not that I will use the weekly timer and all of that, but I still want to figure out all that it can do.
Hey, thanks for the vid. I'm trying to debate on the s300i (I think it's also called the triton plus with powerstream I guess) and the polaris 9550. Have you tried other cleaners before? Or what made you settle on the dolphin? Just curious.
A Todd I initially leaned towards the Polaris, I like it's sleek look. And since I was a normal customer at Leslies they steered me toward it. But as I began to do more research, joined a couple forums, stopped into other local pool stores as well. I learned more about reliability across brands. I was able to talk to Dolphin customer service several times. They offered a 6 month extension to the normal 24 month warranty as well. And I am a huge techy so the Bluetooth had me very intrigued, and I now love the Bluetooth. This was my first robot, my previous cleaner was a Hayward suction. I am still really pleased and impressed with the s300i. I have another video discussing the buying experience a bit more check it out.
Thanks! Everything I've read is the only difference is the color. It's very annoying how many names these things tend to have. Oh well. And thanks for the info. I will definitely check out your other video. Our pool is an odd shape just like yours, so this helped see what I might have to deal with.
A Todd two differences are is that the s300i comes with the caddy, the second is the s300i has a 2.5 hour cycle, plus 1.5 and 2 hour and quick clean option. The Triton only has 1 and two hour. I think the third difference is the Triton does not have the same Bluetooth, I think the Triton has basic Bluetooth like the remote. But the s300i has more advanced cycle options like ultra clean. I think the Triton plus is the s300 and the Triton is the s200. Call Maytronics customer support and ask these questions.
From what I have read in the last few days is that the Triton is the same as the s200. The Triton Plus is the same as the s300. And the Triton Plus with PowerStream is the same as the s300i. I could be wrong, but that's what I've read so far on a few different blogs and forums. The triton plus with powerstream uses the mydolphin app on the phone or ipad as well as has a cady, and all of the features I've seen on the maytronics website vs everthing I've read about the triton systems all seem the same. I have checked with customer support but they haven't gotten back to me yet. So I guess we'll see. I did end up buying the triton plus with powerstream though. Since everything I read looked like they were the exact same thing except with a different paint job, and I found a really good price, I ended up going for it. I'll try to do a review myself and see if there are any differences comparing it to your model if I get a chance. Thanks much for the information. It was very useful! And I did see your unboxing video. Thanks for that! You should do more videos like these! Very useful to those looking at purchasing these types of equipment.
Do you guys use hayward robotic pools ? i am thinking to buy one as our pump is a Hayward and we never had any issues with it.. Hayward is also a "big" brand so i assume the quality of the pool robot would be ok? I found this review on youtube: ruclips.net/video/XqHxzmtHIj4/видео.html but if some people that have a hayward robot could comments please it would be great... Thank you guys.
Before this I had a hayward suction side cleaner, I really disliked it to put it politely. I also have hayward pump. But I also have a samsung TV but I dont use the samsung phones that blow up. Dont be tricked by the big brand names, just because they do it doesnt mean they do it well. What is their core competency, pumps or cleaners? Maytronics is also a big company and global, but with a focus on cleaners. The biggest thing to look for is warranty since these are so expensive, mine came with 30 months. Good luck.

How much did it cost? Im looking around and this one is convincing me.. Im just a bit scared to pull the trigger.
I need to do a follow-up on my experience and whether not I would recommend after a few years. I think I paid $1200 or so
So glad to hear you are having a great experience
Dolphin s300i also a good one to remove algues? (algues which are hardly remove handly) And fine dust/sand?

Which one is the best: This one or Dolphin Zenit 20 pro?
That one is not sold in my market so unfortunately I am not familiar with it.

Can you get your cleaner to just clean the bottom only? Mine is suppose to but I can get the controller to light up on the fast cycle
Yes this model does provide the floor only option. Which model do you have?
Mine also did you get this sorted?
How’s the s300 working so far? Any problems/faults? Thanks
It is still kicking butt. I had to have the motor replaced but it was under warranty so it was no problem. I will try and do an update video soon.
How many motors have u had now? We’ve had ours for 4 years and 3 motors and 2 cords.
Yea it's been the same for me. Motor has been replaced each year.
every year? how much does the motor cost approx?
It's been free for three years. But I think about $500 post warranty.
Good product, thanks for the fantastic clip. What is the diff between the S100 and S300? Just the additional features but same motor and chip inside?
I think the S100 is different in size and purpose. Check here for more information dolphinpoolrobot.com/en/residential-pool-cleaners/s-series
