Just bought a FunteckTying Tool. Your excellent presentation sold me. Thanks for the demo and all your excellent videos. Located in the middle of Bucks County outside if Philadelphia 7a
I bought this as soon as I saw this. I've been using it for a week now... I LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much! Also, you should go take a look at Lazy Dog Farms, if you haven't already saw it. Might be a shock, it was to me.
Hello there, your channel came across my recommend screen. My husband has this and LOVES it. He made a video on it as well. By the way, we are neighbors. We live in Southwest Louisiana 👋
Thanks for sharing your experience. Not everyone is thrilled with some of the manufacturers. Buyer beware, check the reviews. Buyers have a less than spectacular opinion on many of these tools. That scares the heck out of me.
I just watched your nesting box video and loved it. I just built a chicken coop for my small yard, but I can't afford a nesting box system like yours, but maybe i'll figure out a way to build one into my coop.
It usually works it's way out. Not too many jams, but it does happen. Always go through the process... one click to grab tape and another click to staple. When it seems jammed, just click it as if you are stapling... that usually works for me
@@BIGALTX woohoo best tool I ever got a hold of! Thanks for the info. Tied them tomatoes up lickity split. Oh and by the way, we used the pelletized gypsum, no sign of blossom end rot.
The tape lasted all summer long on most everything a tied last year. Even into the winter months. When I tore down my tomato cages I had to break some of the tape loose because it was still holding pretty firmly :-)
It comes with several rolls of tape. I think I used one roll last year on everything I did. So the type that comes with it should last several years unless you just go crazy with it :-)
I included two links for this tool. Look below the video in the description. One is for this specific tool. The other link is for other tools just like this in case this one is sold out.

I got mine. It’s going to really come in handy to control my crazy ‘maters :-) BTW, what’s the best fertilizer to use on my wicking tub blackberries? They got knocked back a bit by freezemageddon bu they’re finally reaching for the sun!
If you use granular you can use any complete fertilizer like 10 -10-10 or 13-13-13. Or, you can use a water soluble fertilizer like Hoss tools 20-20-20. Try to stay away from the plants if you use the granular. Too much fertilizer can burn them. I used some of the triple 13 fertilizer about this time last year and they went crazy. Two or 3 tablespoons per plant, placed several inches away from the roots.
@@junehess501 When you start to tie them... just go slow. A 1/2 click should pick up the tape. And a full click will staple and cut the tape when it's tied. I don't remember if the tape comes threaded through the tool or not. If it is, make sure you look at it and see how it runs through the machine so you will know how to replace the tape when it runs out.
I was just thinking about buying one of those, but there were 13% 1-star reviews on it, and only 61% of the reviews were 5-stars. That doesn't sound like very good odds to me for $35.00. I noticed your video is also 3 years old. Has this company gotten bad over the years or changed ownership maybe? I know you can't trust everything you read review-wise, but when that many are terrible, some of whom purchased a second one that was just as bad, it doesn't sound like a very good company. What are your thoughts? Can you maybe do another video addressing some of the 1 star concerns?
Just curious and not trying to be condescending of this video or how we tend our gardens. This seems to be an amazing tool that serves its purpose, but knowing after thousands of years of plants growing on the ground producing what it produces and surviving thousands of years unattended why string up on trellis to help it produce and stay healthy
Where space limitations are a primary concern, this tool is amazing. You can then proceed to maintain the ground easier without stepping on the fruits like those people did for thousands of years.
Exactly. Space considerations, and keeping the fruit off the ground helps with preventing disease. I have a lot of things that are sprawling right now on the ground. Pumpkins, watermelon and things like that, but the smaller fruits do so well growing up a trellis or fence.
Simple, quick...and made in China. I'll stick with cotton string, thanks.
lol
Where was the cotton string made? Just curious.

Thank you for sharing this tool! I’ve not seen this before.
You bet. Get one… I think you will like it!
Bought one last year when you showed it. I use it daily. So much easier and faster than twine
Great to hear!
I've used mine 2 times in the last 3 days 😎
Ordered one! Gotta wait until next year to use it though, plants are just about full size now and already supported.
There is always something in the garden to tie 😎
thanks! never knew this existed… am getting one!
Glad I could help!
That beats the old way of doing it you take care and have a great one
Yes it does! 😎
Got one earlier this spring - lovin' it!

I must have missed the episode from last year, but I was just out in the garden trying to get the cucumbers wound through the cattle panel.
This really helps. Works great on cattle panels, as well as this hartinova trellis.

The tape lasted all summer long on most everything a tied last year. Even into the winter months.

How long does a spool of tape last should we order extra tape with it
It can never hurt

What are the white spots in the leaves on the cucumbers?
Probably a fungus from all the rain we have had. It has been raining just about every day for the last two or three weeks. Sunny today :-)

Actually, these are in containers. The containers are about 20 inches tall, so that adds a little bit to the height of the plant. 😎👍🏼
