This is a very decent sound for no auto tune, it is so rare now to hear live vocals on stages as music shows auto tune them so badly, they sound REALLY stable for a rookie group.
The fact they had their had first stage be live is insane usually groups lipsync the first stage so they can avoid criticism if they mess up. Black swan have guts damn
I'm happy with this and also fatou to have suuuch stage presence, such confidence that even if she slips she keeps her stakes high as it can be, all of them are really confident and I see a bright future for this girls Also, leia 19 years, the youngest, nervous but still kept the heel moving! Only light in their future.

Their vocal is a little bit unstable, but it’s totally fine because they just debuted and they must be very nervous. I’m sure we will see a lot of progress. Can’t wait to see them in the future again!!! Definitely gonna stan them!!
Yea the voices are pretty unstable, except for the rapper (if she ever debuts solo I'd still stan). I guess I'm just used to Woollim Ent level of live performance vocals, but it's ok they just debuted and they could still improve :)
Things people need to understand 1.they are a rookie group and this is their first show performance 2.they are nervous so of course their voices will sound shaky trust me I sing myself and when I'm really nervous my voice do the same thing 3.they are singing live their are not lip syncing which was a pretty bold choice for a rookie group and considering the fact that they knew how nervous they were ,the chography might not seem hard or something that will exhaust them to the point were they're voice get really shaky but you guys have to understand that they still doing movement that can easily affect their voice stability
That's why i said "they just need SOME touch" on my comment.. they're good enough to be a girl group..and they just debuted..but I don't like people hating them because their skill an especially about race..
Yeah about the whole singing live thing, I'm not a follower of this group, but as a singer, you can hear subtle pick up breaths, and just tiny details about their voices that clearly isn't a playback or the back track
They're literally a Rookie group singing live idk why people expect perfection ik groups that have been in the industry for years and don't sing live or rarely sing live
They been a group for 7 years but with so many member changes and controversies which i find wierd that they arent a little better with vocals but i looked that up about them if u wanted to know
I'm korean and I welcome black and white kpop idols. We korean are excited we have diversity in kpop. Please show your talent black swan. Good luck and Hwaiting black swan!
@Samuel Tezuka You don't choose whether you want to sing live or not that's first, secondly don't forget their ROOKIES and you should know there place as such. Rookies are NEVER classified as "better" I'll wait till they prove themselves even more.
@Samuel Tezuka You literally don't get to choose, I don't know if your thinkin about the west music industry privileges' but you don't get to choose weather you'd like to sing live or not at least from my far knowledge "rookies" don't get to choose.
@Samuel Tezuka Girl, its clear as day why your trying to go back and forth with me lol. Don't just take up for your faves and be real with YOURSELF when you've made your mark far in the industry you DON'T NEED TO BE OBLIGATED to sing live or not like you are really talking from experience when tbh you just sound like a troll trying to find a way to hate on other groups... girl bye.
As a korean I got no problems with this at all, the colour of your skin does not determine who you are and it doesn’t matter if you are good at what you’re doing, and she actually sang and rapped in Korean so she’s respecting our culture and it’s not like she’s just singing in English so yall can stop hating and i think no matter where you’re from you’ll always have racist people. haters gonna hate. She’s also not a Korea Boo as some people seem to think there is a big difference between using and exploiting someone’s culture and trying to be someone you’re not and respecting it and being a part of it 👍✌️
Ikr, the “funny” thing is that Koreans don’t seem to have a problem, it’s white ppl, it’s not even their culture and they are talking about it as if it is...
Exactly I remember seeing this Koreaboo insta collection of Good looking korean boys being like “We only like white people”. I was like what??!! Why are they using someone else’s pictures and falsely labelling them as racist, what? They don’t even think that
I don’t have problems with this either but people seem to hype her up just because she’s black. Like I’m not trying to be rude I’m black myself but she’s not that talented. The company only asked her to audition so they’d get attention, and they obviously accepted her because of that. She’s not a good rapper, and she’s fine at following choreography so I don’t really understand why she’s there if she adds nothing special to the group same with that girl Julie.
@@cyndixx “she’s not a good rapper” bet you’ve only listened to “tonight” and are already making assumptions. Did u check her “Dior” freestyle? And her verse in “over and over” ?... this song was not suitable for a rapper, that’s why it sounded off.
People who are saying they messed up some vocals- Listen I'm not their fan but this is common sense, this is how you sound when you sing live while dancing, breathing, tired vocal.. The thing is 95% idol groups don't sing live or their vocals are edited by the show producers to make it sound close to the real recording vocals. They remove the breathing sounds plus add autotune to make it sound more appealing. I'm not saying those groups are not talented, but dancing+singing is tough and it's a fact. Kuddos to this group. They did good😊
I’m also not a fan and yeah, it’s really really though and it also has something to do with experience, as time passes by they will learn to control their vocals, choreo etc. .They did good.
I'm really a little sad because I'm seeing a lot of people saying that BLACSWAN doesn't have a stage presence and they seem to be nervous, but first people have to understand that it's their first stage so it's okay to be nervous, and in my opinion they did very well because it was their first performance, and I sincerely hope that they always give their best and that they evolve every day, success to this group of the future full of talent!
Ikr, it's their first stage and they are singing live which is not something rookies do a lot nowadays. We should be proud they delivered such a great performance even though there are nerves.

Kpop groups always featured people from China, US, Japan and others. Kpop is music produced in S.Korea. People who think this group is a problem can live under a rock because we live in a globalized world.
Raphael Couto I think people personally don’t have issues with those idols because kpop is tied with cpop and jpop especially companies some kpop trainees debut in China and some Chinese trainees debut in Korea very often because of their companies. I hope only the best for the girls. I’m genuinely hoping that Fatou doesn’t get used as a “Just for show” prop in the group, it’s happened before to poor Alex Reid.
One big difference from when Alex was in Rania BP and Fatou here in Blackswan is that Alex was only dancing when she rapped, otherwise she stood to the side. Here, Fatou is performing like the other members! I was very happy to see a change in treatment, but this doesn't justify Alex getting mistreated. This also doesn't put Blackswan's company in the green, because we haven't seen all aspects of Fatou's life as a Blackswan member.

I hope only the best for the girls. I’m genuinely hoping that Fatou doesn’t get used as a “Just for show” prop in the group, it’s happened before to poor Alex Reid.
I was thinking the same thing when i saw this :/
One big difference from when Alex was in Rania BP and Fatou here in Blackswan is that Alex was only dancing when she rapped, otherwise she stood to the side. Here, Fatou is performing like the other members! I was very happy to see a change in treatment, but this doesn't justify Alex getting mistreated. This also doesn't put Blackswan's company in the green, because we haven't seen all aspects of Fatou's life as a Blackswan member.
😭😭😭 noo, I think she wouldn't stay if they mistreated her.. We love her too much, and they probably see that by now

i dont know why yall hate on fatou, she was the member of blackswan too. and just because her skintone is different, that doesnt mean she cant be in the group. and her rap was slayed by the only queen fatou💞🥺
edit: tbh i write this comment because i wanna say my opinion, and i dont know why yall like on these. but i wasnt expecting this much like. im also happy, literally i believe yall like this cause you guys support fatou. also i hope this girlband succeed like the other cause i think i see their future shining bright💙😚
People don’t know the truth. Fatou is gonna be short term hype fetishized and then kicked out of the group if she’s not attracting the attention.
These 3 other korean girls and one is the ex members of Rania. Their album is literally called Goodbuy Rania. Same management same company!
They also had a black girl named Alexandra Reid. They treated her so bad and she was constantly being racist at and it’s all just “ignorance” and not “racism”. F no
She’s gonna he used like a machine by the company and when this group flops she’s gonna the first to go.
@@shawnknive Ughh I really hope not. I really like Fatou. I get what you’re saying overall, but didn’t Alex leave on her own? I agree that Fatou is being used to attract attention, however it seems they learned with Alex that throwing the foreign member off stage once they are done with their lines looks bad. Fatou is actually saying her lines and staying on the stage... I mean, that’s a start, right? I’m hopeful with Fatou tbh.
there is also a Brazilian member
True
@@shawnknive This comment is a whole lie there is literally only one ex rania member left which is hyeme. Alex was barely there in the first place, didn't train with them, stay in Korea enough or study Korean so obviously, she would flop. Fatou is here to stay and it's obvious shes working hard to fit the pop criteria you can't help that they're in a low budget company all you can do is support and stop shitposting like this. The album is Goodbye RaNia but also Hello to Blackswan. Get used to it. This group is not the same.
I'M SORRY BUT IM IN LOVE WHERE FATOU SAYS "Look at me" ITS SO AMAZING
THEY ARE ROOKIES OF COURSE THEY WON'T BE AS PROFESSIONAL AS YOUR FAVS . Many rookie groups lip syced in their debut performances but they didn't. It shows they are not being fake or something and their hard work n
I'm really proud of them singing live because my ult group twice always uses pre recorded vocals until now and they're literally a 5 year old group. For me even if they dont sound perfect it's okay as long as you're not lypsyncing every performance
This is something that is admirable, the fact they didn't lip sync is great.
Marichu Ramirez lol I got tired of twice because they always lipsync. Like it’s even hard to pinpoint if they use some prerecorded vocals. It’s just plainly bg music and dancing. And I know already that they are good in dancing. I think it’s about time for them to use some vocals in performances
Lol, what’s admirable was that, they were rookies and yet they were singing live. Even years of age kpop groups don’t dare to do that.
@@jimineutron3775 that is what I was calling admirable-
They sounded so nervous but they still slayyyy!! I WANNA STAN THEM.

Rookie idols singing live on their first performance! These girls are trailblazers in more than just the obvious. I wish their company had gave them a more dynamic dance to go with the song but I can understand they are still finding the potential in this group.

I’m not a fan of this song, and the company doesn’t have a great history, but I support the attempt to diversify Kpop even if it’s an insincere publicity move. Many enterprises are insincere so I have no expectations for philanthropy. I hope the company doesn’t treat the girls badly and that they find success.
Edit:
Oof this is the first time one of my comments has gotten so many like and comments. But when I read through the comment section I was hoping to see some comments related to what I said. . . I guess controversy really pulls in views things are looking up for black swan lol.
I hope so too
what did the company do?
@@starrygrimes500 really, disgusting shit. Old group called Rania had a mixed member, and they literally treated her like shir and her members were extremely racist against her and the company didn’t do anything about it. They also are incredibly lazy
I don’t ... I don’t think there should be others in kpop except Asians. It’s Korean music for a reason ...
@@Ari-uc9je ok sweetheart you are obviously uneducated so let me help you out. First of all Kpop is a music genre which is regular music but the only difference is the language which in this case is Korean. Kpop does not go by what you look like or where you come from at all. Also its not Apop so idk where you’re getting the only Asian part from. So no it’s no only for Asians so you can take that opinion somewhere else thank you very much. 😁
people obviously don’t know that they asked fatou to audition shes didnt audition the COMPANY ASKED HER to audition and she passed she was never gonna audition until they told her to okay i don’t see the problem with her being in the group she’s beautiful and has an amazing voice please stop with all the racist comments and please stop hating on them they are just trying to do there job
She’s beautiful and talented but I wish she didn’t join this company. They include black members just for the image and shock factor. The company’s other group Raina had a black member who was treated horribly and excluded from songs.
@@rachel_wang the thing is I’m sure all Kpop companies are like that. Let’s be real dr is the first but it doesn’t mean they are the only ones. If black swan ends up successful other companies will do the same thing.
But when lana got hate for being white y’all didn’t defend her 🙄 fatou isn’t receiving racist comments people are just pointing out the tokenism
@NURIN BINTI SAHARUDIN Moe technically they are Rania, they just rename it to try separate them from the failure that Rania and BP-Rania was.

Wow i'm quite suprised they didn't do lip sync. It's their debut, right? You can hear they're nervous, but they're still doing really good, especially for a rookie group!! With such presence you can clearly tell they'll just grow and will be better with every performance.
some of them aren't new to the industry like the blonde girl from stellar, redebuted with rania with those korean girls redebuted again with BS,, my point being they are experienced :>
