Highway 101 was the band that turned me from a rock n roller into a country music fan back in the late 80's. Wish they stayed together.

@@johnwilliams9526- I agree 100%. What happened to the country of the 90's? Alan Jackson, Patty Loveless and George Strait. Today's country is pop music. Haven't seen a cowboy hat or Nudie suit in a long time. No steel guitars or fiddles either.
Its a tragedy that such a wonderful, super-talented band had to suddenly disband after such a meteoric rise.

I love Paulette's voice. It's unique, and different. The whole band is outstanding. I wonder why they broke up just as they were at the top of their game.
They broke up because Paulette decided to go on her own as a solo artist. Beginning at that point she had a failed career. She didn't have any songs in the top 40 as a solo artist. Obviously, she should have stayed with the band...

I know this is saying a lot, but I think her voice is the best from a female country vocalist that I have ever heard...that includes all the great ones like Wynette, Cline, Reba. Paulette Carlson has the purest voice .

I agree that Paulette has a great voice - very unique too. But a case can be made of Emmy Lou Harris' voice being the best. Also, at one point Olivia Newton-John was singing country music. If you want to put her in the category as a "female country vocalist", then she would be in the mix with Emmy Lou Harris as the best.

@@keithkimmeysr953 I'm not automatically saying Emmy Lou Harris has the best female voice. But I listened to her greatest hits CD last week for the first time in a long while and I had forgotten what a great singer she was (or is). I agree with you about Paulette having an amazing voice. That is definitely true. I'm just saying it would be close between those 2 ... and if you (or anyone else) want to a few more for consideration, I would include Olivia Newton-John (as I mentioned her in my previous post), Crystal Gayle, and also another singer, of whom a great many of people have forgotten about: Charly McClain. I always thought she had a sweet voice that was different from others. Whatever the case, I don't think it's so easy to pick "the best female voice of all-time".

Yeah I know most of the girls a child or a few and the idea that they have the perfect solution ,this what I really need ,but I agree mostly with the idea one good one is what I really need ( I have done this for many thousands of years ,made people ,and when I put some of what I know to use ,even most married ones want to divorce their husband ,I am interested in one wife and one family !!!!! Or would it be better as it is written the Angels don't marry ,just in the group were it is needed ,I seen this so many times ,it goes good untill the boys grow up ,or a group working together ,sometimes it does seem like good idea !!!!!

Her whole world fell apart , she's a mess since he left her . He was her whole world , he was the rock that kept her strong . She's completely lost without him . I have the greatest hits CD of Highway 101, and, for some inexplicable reason, this song is not on that CD! This song made it all the way to #4 on the US Country chart, but they (Highway 101) decided to leave it off their greatest hits CD?? I mean, it wasn't like that CD was crammed with a a huge number of songs. It had a total of only 10 songs on it. I don't know why they couldn't have added this song to it. Also, they had one other song make the top 10 ("Setting Me Up") but it ALSO is not on their greatest hits album. It's a darn shame they left their greatest hits CD / album incomplete...
I've done it that very way before. Used my digital camera to record from a video I had, and then loaded that into my pc and into youtube. Quality - Average.
