She was not a demon all along she just created a new form based on the training with sabo n crew and the new form was very much influenced by how she was treated in the past.

And Brook was able to use his Ice Orchestra Slash attack to defeat not just a couple of Beast Pirates SMILE Gifters, but he was able to KO takedown a Numbers GIANT By HIMSELF!!!!!! {Just like his Captain!!!!}

Incredible episode 🔥🔥🔥 Robin's Demonio Fleur 😈👌 I also like how she used everything taught by Koala, Hack and Sabo in the flashback: Koala - Fishman Karate palm strike combine with Robin's own powers so she could break the ceiling. Sabo - "Figure out where your enemy's core is", basically she realise that by breaking the ceiling it would put out the fire making her capable of freely fighting Black Maria. Hack - "Robin has her own way of fighting with her locking techniques", using her devil fruit powers with her own unique clutch moves to finish off Black Maria (Demonio Fleur).

Honestly, I'll give the animation on that animation of Robin finishing Maria a 7/10. They should've gave her more screentime on that moment coz that's a highlight. They tease us even in the end. By cutting the part she clutch her then skip to the part where Maria's minions saw her in Devil form.

the way i like to think about is, Robin loves Chopper because they are similar. They were both called monsters or demons even though they are both very sweet. Because of this Chopper and Robin thought no one would accept them until they rid themselves of the things that make them a monster or demon. For Chopper it was literal, but for Robin the world saw her as a demon for studying its forbidden history. The Strawhats accepted them for both. This is when Chopper and Robin realized, in order to protect the friends that finally accepted them, they would go to any length... even if it means becoming a monster (mosnter point) or demon (demonio fleur).

It clearly is just a more advance form of her df or maybe even an awakening. Also with the reveals in the latest chapters about df we can consider so many more possibilities. The fact she was black in the manga was mainly to hide her form as much as possible, they did that too in the anime but it's harder when you use more coolours than just black and white. It's for the "Hakuma" theme.
