Further RXP update. Had my first longish distance ride, probably a tanks worth. Riding in a tour group of 40 plus skis. Can absolutely confirm the RXP hull tracks so much better, with no handlebar management required. Straight over or through chop. I much prefer the hull over the ST3 at this point
Been another 3 months riding the RXP. Have done a few long rides and filmed a lot off it. Love it. Just putting together a quick review video of the RXP now. Will release that soon
Since filming, I have put another couple hours on the RXP. More confident in turns, bit faster. By no means am I a pro. But this ski gets better and better, the more I use it
Just found your channel. Like the video very much, particularly the drone shots. I have the GTX 230/2021 with the ST3 hull. Your observations were spot on. I have added the Riva Sponsons and Top Loader Intake Gate. They have helped immensely with the handling in rough water, and chop. Between that and many hours of riding I can almost always anticipate any adjustments I may have to make. Good luck with your new craft and to many wonderful days on the water. I'll have to go back and watch your previous posts. Greetings from Rhode Island/USA!
Thanks Donald. Some of my other posts have a lot more/better drone footage. Might want to check out the launch control review video I’ve done too. Gtx 230 is a great ski. Is it the charcoal/tan brown one? I’ve heard the sponsons make a difference and I agree you learn to predict it. Certainly get used to it, but noticeable when you jump on another hull. Thanks for tuning in, Rhode Island must have some good rides nearby!
I mostly ride single. Rarely a 2nd. Never a 3rd. I like to play and have fun. I need speed. Lots of chop in this area and ocean waters. I'm taller as well (6'5) so if that plays into your answer to this question. Which would be best for me? They both look like winners to be honest.
Probably one of the differences I like more on the RXT is the seating position. I’m not as tall as you, but 6’3, sit deeper on the RXT and seemed to be a bit more comfy
For comfort level on a bad lower back is there a big difference between the rxp to the rxt? Muscle fatigue ect is there a difference between the 2 on a long ride day?
I have a bit of builders back, few discs play up from time to time. Feel your pain, and I have been conscious of comfort in that regard. I have done a couple of 200km plus rides on both. Rxt definitely soaks the bumps more, but I felt less on the lower back the next day on the RXP if I’m honest. Didn’t seem to slap up and down as much on that hull
@@livinginwake good to know, thanks for your input, I’m on a Yamaha GP1800r at the moment and it’s killing me! It’s such a nimble and responsive ride but boy do you feel ever bump right to your bones!
@@JoshDK- no problem. I’ve only had one Yamaha before, vx deluxe. I found that to be much more harsh in chop, but tracked really well. In terms of the RXP in chop, I’d be probably going against the grain there. Most I read and hear says the rxt is more comfy. Guess it’s subjective
@@livinginwake hi again I ended up finding a rxpx apex and love it!!! The locked in seating position is amazing, I put some riva sponsons on and I 100% recommend them if you think it handles good stock it’s twice as good with the riva sponsons. 👍

Thanks mate, I’d say the RXT felt a little faster off the line, maybe because of the flatter hull. But to be honest I’ve only been riding the RXP for about 8 months now, so I might just be used to it. I’ve got a good film coming up that will help decide
@@livinginwake looking forward to video. I'm trying to decide what 325 to get next year. I currently have a 300 gtx and 230 gtr. I'm just trying to figure out what 325 would be the fastest in a drag race. I was assuming the P because it weighs less.

I know a couple of people that got the rxt and use for fishing. Have the cooler and attachments, same hull so stability still there when stopped.
