    Further RXP update. Had my first longish distance ride, probably a tanks worth. Riding in a tour group of 40 plus skis. Can absolutely confirm the RXP hull tracks so much better, with no handlebar management required. Straight over or through chop. I much prefer the hull over the ST3 at this point

    Just found your channel. Like the video very much, particularly the drone shots. I have the GTX 230/2021 with the ST3 hull. Your observations were spot on. I have added the Riva Sponsons and Top Loader Intake Gate. They have helped immensely with the handling in rough water, and chop. Between that and many hours of riding I can almost always anticipate any adjustments I may have to make. Good luck with your new craft and to many wonderful days on the water. I'll have to go back and watch your previous posts. Greetings from Rhode Island/USA!

      @livinginwake  Год назад

      Thanks Donald. Some of my other posts have a lot more/better drone footage. Might want to check out the launch control review video I’ve done too. Gtx 230 is a great ski. Is it the charcoal/tan brown one? I’ve heard the sponsons make a difference and I agree you learn to predict it. Certainly get used to it, but noticeable when you jump on another hull. Thanks for tuning in, Rhode Island must have some good rides nearby!

    I mostly ride single. Rarely a 2nd. Never a 3rd. I like to play and have fun. I need speed. Lots of chop in this area and ocean waters. I'm taller as well (6'5) so if that plays into your answer to this question. Which would be best for me? They both look like winners to be honest.

    • @livinginwake
      @livinginwake  Год назад

      Probably one of the differences I like more on the RXT is the seating position. I’m not as tall as you, but 6’3, sit deeper on the RXT and seemed to be a bit more comfy

  • @JoshDK-
    @JoshDK- 10 месяцев назад +1

    For comfort level on a bad lower back is there a big difference between the rxp to the rxt? Muscle fatigue ect is there a difference between the 2 on a long ride day?

    • @livinginwake
      @livinginwake  10 месяцев назад +1

      I have a bit of builders back, few discs play up from time to time. Feel your pain, and I have been conscious of comfort in that regard. I have done a couple of 200km plus rides on both. Rxt definitely soaks the bumps more, but I felt less on the lower back the next day on the RXP if I’m honest. Didn’t seem to slap up and down as much on that hull

      @@JoshDK- no problem. I’ve only had one Yamaha before, vx deluxe. I found that to be much more harsh in chop, but tracked really well. In terms of the RXP in chop, I’d be probably going against the grain there. Most I read and hear says the rxt is more comfy. Guess it’s subjective

    I have been saving for 4 years. Scared to pull the trigger on RXTX. Im in Florida, so the Fish Pro speaks to me, very loudly lol. With their locking system, can I add all of the features such as the cooler and rod holders but still have the power if I went with a RXTX? I just know if I get a Fish pro the 170hp wont be enough for me and Ill regret it. lol

    • @livinginwake
      @livinginwake  Год назад

      I know a couple of people that got the rxt and use for fishing. Have the cooler and attachments, same hull so stability still there when stopped. I haven’t had a fishpro, but if I remember correctly all fishpro models have a pre attached fish finder/nav unit, and other rod holder attachments, that the RXT doesn’t have. The trophy model has that swivel seat too. Depends on your preference. If it’s primarily fishing you’re doing, probably go fishpro. 170hp still gives a kick. If you are only doing say 20% of your riding fishing, id go RXT and kit it to fish when you need it. Nobody ever said I want less horsepower 🤷

      Awesome! What was the original like? Mine have both been stock, aside from oil catch can. Didn’t notice much different between the two on take off to be honest. I haven’t had the Apex, but nearly pulled trigger on one. Aside from colours and the steering, not much different. Someone else that owns/rides the Apex could pitch in, but I’d say it probably doesn’t go any faster, just the steering dampening you’d notice
