But Sheppard's shot was no piece of cake, splitting two defenders, shooting a runner while jumping off his right foot off balance, a difficult task itself

It isn’t always his scoring and great 3 pt shooting..the kid plays SMART as ANY freshman I’ve seen at U.K…He is athletic more then guys think..kid gets as many steals as anyone In the country ..best open 3pt shooter In country ..best 6”3 guard I’ve seen in my life at getting blocks ..passes the ball and always make the right play..he’s a rare kid…going to make a solid pro wherever he goes..one best things about Shepp is his attitude and locker room ..work ethic ..he’s got everything u want in a kid ..Lucky we got him..got cats!!! Sheppard finally took more shots..he’s to efficient not too!! He can create for him and always going make right pass just glad to see him attacking

I hope Reed looks seriously at what NIL money looks like compared to a rookie NBA deal and he stays another year at UK. Two homegrown guards and high school phenoms playing with instead of against each other is good stuff. I can see "all stars" like Zion Williamson floundering in the NBA.

This play told me DJ Wagner is not a team player. How he not gonna give it back to Sheppard right away from the jump when he had been so hot.
Cal wanted him to take it and see what he can do. He had the sense to try and see nothing and give it to the hot hand without wasting time. He’s a team player that drive and dish to Thiero proved that earlier. He did what his team needed and that allowed Shepherd to get in the lane.
Nah, Wagner is the best driver and finisher on the team. I’m totally ok with him seeing if he can take his man. The second the lane was cut off, he dished to Shep. If he’d insisted on trying to take it inside, I’d agree with you.
