  • Have you ever met a person who hasn’t ever heard the story of Titanic? Unlikely. Even if you ask a 10-year-old, they’ll tell you exactly what took down the gigantic ship. However, some survivors of the sinking legend would beg to differ. Here’s one of their stories, and it has nothing to do with an iceberg.
Armenian publicist Vaghinak Byurat was 25 years old in the spring of 1912. He described what happened on his journey to America on the most famous ship in the world in his memoirs. He’s never mentioned an iceberg hitting the Titanic, and always spoke about an explosion. And if what he said was true, something must have caused that huge explosion...
💥 Btw, guys, there is a cat hidden in this video. If you can spot our furry little guy, you're much more attentive than most people! Do you accept the challenge? 😽

    SUMMARY:
    - Armenian publicist Vaghinak Byurat was 25 years old in the spring of 1912. He described what happened on his journey to America on the most famous ship in the world in his memoirs.
    - In 1912, Vaghinak published some books together with his father, a famous Armenian writer. His task was to take the books to America.
    - They went to bed rather late on April 14, just like on the other nights. Shortly after midnight, something that sounded like a big explosion woke everyone up.
    - None of the crew members wanted to say anything, but a few minutes later it was impossible to deny that the Titanic was going underwater.
    - Vaghinak put his passport and money in a little bag and tied it around his neck. The Titanic’s bow was already underwater by that time. A lot of people in this situation wouldn’t have dared to take it to the open water.
    - The water in the North Atlantic that night was just below freezing, at a scary 28 degrees Fahrenheit (-2 C). The young writer felt his arms and legs go numb, and he was understandably getting weaker and weaker every second.
    - Then, he bumped into something. It was a lifeboat! But it was so overcrowded they pushed the young man with a paddle when he tried to stick to the boat.
    - Vaghinak woke up alive on board another ship. That ship was the Carpathia, and it was en route to New York with lucky survivors on board.
    - 12 days later, a woman came into the room. She turned out to be the person who saved Vaghinak. Missis Astor told the sailors that the young man was her son, and she wouldn’t let them go without him since she’d already lost her husband on the Titanic.
    - Vaghinak lived a long and happy life and, as a great storyteller, he shared what happened to him many times. Interestingly, he’s never mentioned an iceberg hitting the Titanic, and always spoke about an explosion.
    - It could have been a fire, and quite a lot of people actually believe that theory, saying that coal was burning in the ship’s hull.
    - Another theory that explained the explosion claimed that there was a German U-boat involved in the sinking of Titanic.

Not just sleeping but sleeping inside, surrounded by steel... My wife and I used to live in an apartment facing the street. One night we were awoken by a horrific sound. My wife woken up screaming because she thought someone surely died, it was that loud... What was it? A shopping cart, filled with glass smashed and covering half the block during a hit and run (thankfully the homeless man pushing it was uninjured)... Point of the story is this, a loud, traumatic, explosive sound doesn't always mean it came from an explosion. Your brain simply appoints a label as it tries to comprehend what it is experiencing.

I knew a survivor. She said her mom woke her up because her mom heard a explosion and then their cabin smelled of sulfur burning. It got so bad her mother decided for them to get dressed and go to the outside deck for air. The survivor said that this was a long time, hours before an iceberg was even mentioned, because the ship hadn't hit it yet. She blamed that on her being so young and any waiting time took forever at that age. Since they were already on deck, a crew member asked her mom to get in one of the first lifeboats, " just for safety reasons" Then they had to wait "forever" again in the lifeboat. Not many joined them, many refused to. The mother carried a small blanket with them, she got under it and went back to sleep. She remembered people crying. She didn't understand why the big boat they got on was a different one. She became a school teacher. She believed that the explosion caused the ship to lean, power to the propeller on one side became slow which caused the ship to steer into the iceberg.

There is the other argument that the hull was due to be plated with steel rivets, but to save money they used iron rivets which were impure with cavities in them and brittle. When the ship struck the iceberg it just peeled off the rivets whereas steel rivets would have been a lot stronger limiting the amount of hull damage. The interior watertight compartments were due to go from floor to ceiling this again was cut back on with many finishing below the next floor level allowing water to flood from one compartment to the next.
What sunk the Titanic no one can honestly say, but the theory of the coal sounds the most accurate as wet coal was loaded onto the Titanic.
The killer was the lack of lifeboats, again removed as they compromised the aesthetics of the liner, and the arrogance of the white star line board who save money on the ships construction and took the decision to remove lifeboats.

They weren't asleep or even not paying attention in the crows nest, the conditions that night were perfect for not being able to see an iceberg, it was a pitch black moonless night and the water was extraordinarily calm, that means there aren't any chances of seeing waves breaking at the base of the iceberg, there just wasn't any way of seeing it with the human eye until it was too late.
Aside from the obvious one of the design flaws of the Titanic was that it's rudder was too small for it's size, once they did see the iceberg the ship couldn't turn fast enough to avoid hitting it.

Maybe when the Titanic hit the iceberg the hull was breached near the boiler room underneath and the massive rush of water caused an explosion from a large amount of steam flashing instantaneously causing a explosion which would not only shake the entire ship but would also create a chain reaction compromising the structural integrity of the hull leading to its sinking.

  • @scrubby009
    @scrubby009 Год назад

there was a coal fire on the titanic at some point but they put it out and moved all the coal to the port side which caused a 3 degree list to the port side then when the titanic hit the iceberg, the ship listed a little bit to the starboard side then because there were port holes open which caused severe flooding on the port side, and because of that it started listing to the port side again at a 9 degree list. the ship would have capsized due to the water flooding in the ship on the starboard side, but since there was that 3 degree list it kept the ship steady enough to not capsize.

The steel of that time more than likely couldn’t handle those temps and became brittle. With the brittleness of the steel taking an impact even a slightly glancing one could have cracked the steel. The iron rivers were also found to be of inferior quality and were at max stress/strength levels before impact.
With those two factors investigated and researched it’s quite easy to come to the conclusion. that poor quality materials combined with an impact against something as solid as a glacial hard iceberg and poor timing/bad luck is what sank the titanic

One of the likely reasons for the sinking, was that Harland And Wolfe were supposed to use the most expensive Best Best Rivets, or No. 1. Rivets. They built the Titanic with the cheaper No. 2, or Best Rivets.
I am not sure if this would have made much of a difference, as the No.2 Rivets are stronger along the length, but weaker aat the ends. The No. 1 Rivets are the normal strength throughout the Rivet apparently.
It has been agreed that the hole was caused by the Rivets falling, but I think that there are a number of different factors, which on their own, would not make a difference, but all together, have helped cause the ship to sink.
The dark mark that you were showing in the video, was when the Titanic was on the slipway, in Belfast. You can tell that, because of the gantries around the hull, it is unlikely that any coal would be inside the ship at that stage. It was believed that there was a fire in a coal bunker, when the inspection by the board of trade was being carried out, but they had put the fire out, before the ship sank.

It was an out of balance phlogiston generator which introduced ultra sonic vector resonances to all the toilet bowls and they exploded into shrapnel destroying the navigation charts and the first mate's lunch. The ship then meandered into a coriolis pool lost its neutrons and vanished into thin ocean. Any questions ?

It was obviously a collision with an iceberg that caused the sinking. The numerous enquiries on both sides of the Atlantic had no doubt so would take more than the confused recollections of one person not as used to sailing

Also, I've read the Titanic sister ship, the Olympic, was a actually the one that was used because it had already been damaged and couldn't be insured so it would have been a huge list financially. Both being identical, the names on the two were switched in secret. A win-win for the White Star Line.

Miscalculation in navigation has to be my only answer, why? Of their is a storm, cold weather affecting visuals, equipment should be the back up plan yet the lowest temperatures would cause miscalculations on monitors so they may have had to depend on real skill vs errors on readings no one could have seen the icebergs exact coordinates,

The ship had an explosion during construction. White Starline opted to make the repairs with a cheaper metal than what was required for safety protocol.
Titanic was doomed due to the fridged water temp causing the patch job to become brittle, then break.
