As a person with Fibromyalgia I can safely say that having this medical condition has absolutely NOTHING to do with Hoarding or living in squalor. I keep my home immaculate. Yes I have learned to live with chronic pain and can't do stuff as fast as some people can, but it still gets done. It's annoying how many people seem to use this condition as an excuse for their laziness. Many Hoarders are PTSD sufferers and have other severe mental health issues but some are also plain lazy and selfish. Love Dr.Zasio...every home should have one!!!
Can relate. I have a chronic pain issue and keep my house in 2 ways. Some items, like the stove top, I'll give it a thorough cleaning every couple weeks. Stuff like the floor is lightly swept and spot-cleaned every other day so it never gets dirty, because having to thoroughly clean a whole floor hurts badly.
My mom has fibromyalgia, but you can control the symptoms through proper diet, nutrition, and exercise. She hasn't had a flare up in years. This woman makes people with fibromyalgia look bad

So its obviously always bothered him because he's insecure and knows that his success is directly due to 2 other guys, 1 of who he despised for a long time. And Ant was already doing bits on the radio before teaming up with Opie. Pretty safe to say he brought Opie further in his career than Opie ever brought him.
I had bed bugs recently. I got sprayed and threw away anything in my house that wasnt expensive electronics. I felt so bad and embarrassed about something thats so common these days even in 5 star hotels. After watching this I felt so much better :/

As a gas man, I have been to one home that was CRAWLING with roaches all over the walls, ceiling, floor, table, food, everywhere. The mother was just completely apathetic. She wasted $600 on gas but she was on some povery plan where she didn't have to pay so she didn't care. I told her all she need was a $10 part and the gas problem would be gone, but she just went "whatever", and I seriously doubt she did it. Apathy is worse than death, atleast a corpse feeds the beasts and insects.
They need to just start setting some limits. If somebody is living in literal shit, and there are roaches everywhere, the person just needs to be declared incompetent, and put into a home. Stop wasting money and resources on these thankless, crazy individuals.

Aspartame can really mess you up--it gives me anxiety and depression and messes with my memory. I'm a reforming slob myself (though at my worst I was NOWHERE this bad, think 10 out of 100 with 100 being this dump they're living in) and when I watch shows like this, it inspires me to straighten up. And I have a teenaged son on the autism spectrum...he knows how to run the vacuum cleaner and he's cleaned his room and vacuumed without being told. (We have two vacuum cleaners--the lightweight one that converts to handheld, and a "regular" one--he uses the lightweight.) I was born with a club foot so my ankle sometimes hurts, but I can still do laundry and the like. My son tends to want to have like ten of everything. I've been trying to discourage him from buying baby toys at Goodwill. Then he claimed he wanted to "collect" them. Yeah right. I showed him an episode of Hoarders and said "those people collected lots of stuff and look at their home now." Next thing I knew my son had a bag and was throwing stuff into it to donate!

Dude-some of us have more than one disability-we cannot help it. We also diagnose fibro over and over again-it DOES exist and people like me are in wheelchairs. So I will not be lumped in with THAT woman-my house is clean....I saw that episode and she is over-diagnosed...it happens a lot. But people who live with multiple trauma do NOT belong in a nursing home, period.
I realize that this is a sickness, but man, this sickness is just fucking disgusting! In many cases, the homes cannot be saved. It's best to demo them to the ground, remove the soil or burn the house to cleanse the soil, and rebuild. I don't know how people could ever let their homes get this bad. I have mild to moderate OCD, but I guess that I just don't understand the hoarder mentality.

Dude-some of us have more than one disability-we cannot help it. We also diagnose fibro over and over again-it DOES exist and people like me are in wheelchairs. So I will not be lumped in with THAT woman-my house is clean....I saw that episode and she is over-diagnosed...it happens a lot. But people who live with multiple trauma do NOT belong in a nursing home, period.
I realize that this is a sickness, but man, this sickness is just fucking disgusting! In many cases, the homes cannot be saved. It's best to demo them to the ground, remove the soil or burn the house to cleanse the soil, and rebuild. I don't know how people could ever let their homes get this bad. I have mild to moderate OCD, but I guess that I just don't understand the hoarder mentality.
She needs to have someone adopt her kids, then. She is choosing the hoard over them.
