Hi Akoya! Thank you so much for your review of this diaper brand. I am hoping to start our family next year and I am a planner so I am trying to purchase any must have baby items ahead of time. I have been looking into cloth diapers and it seems like this is a very affordable option compared to disposable diapers in the long run! I am a career nanny, and I have watched many children over the years who used cloth diapers, and this system seems to be by far the easiest! I like that you can use the disposable liners once they start solids so you don't really have to do any pre-scrubbing/ rinsing! I tend to do at least one load of laundry everyday already, so I think this wouldn't be a hard transition from my normal routine at home. Would love to see more videos from you, I really appreciated how in depth you went!

Hey! What is your babies age difference? I just found out im pregnant with number 3 and number 2 will be 14 months when im due so was wondering if you needed to use the same sizes for both at once? We do esembly part time too but i use disposable wipes, but i actually want to switch to cloth wipes i was wondering do you have to rinse the number 2s off the wipes before you wash them? Also i totally agree with the liners, i bought them right away and it makes cleaning so much easier. I actually rinse every diaper even pee ones before i put in the wet bag too and i dont get stains or smell issues when i do that like i did with the various brands i used on my oldest. I know esembly doesnt reccomend it but it really helps me with the washing. Also wanted to mention, i actually unstitched the middle three sections on all my inners as soon as i got them because i heard so many people having problems with them bunching or coming clean and i havent had any issues with a single stain or anything by doing that. I do also stretch the insert pads out when transferring them from the washer to the dryer and i think it helps a lot with keeping them laying flatter. And actually because you have boys you might want to unstitch the back one too so its only sewn down in the front and you could fold them to have more absorbancy in the front. Just thought id tell you incase you wanted to try it but i totally get that some people dont want to start unstitching their diapers for resale or warrantys or whatever reason. I actually couldnt use this system at first because my baby was only 4lbs and took forever to grow and even now shes 7 months and only on the second snap from the middle. Im glad other people really enjoy this system too though, with my son i used a mix of everything and lots of microfiber and just had a lot of wash problems and didnt enjoy it as much but hes also 13 years older because i had him young and waited to have more kids so the options were a lot different back then and buying new things this time was a whole new research process and trial to see what would work. I love this system way more than pockets because i dont want to stuff and unstuff them and since my babies are smaller the one size diapers take a good year to fit without being extremely bulky and these are so compact you can barely tell its a cloth diaper when shes dressed.

There is a 22 month age gap. My first was out of diapers by the time my second switched to Sz 2. I don’t rinse any wipes or my diapers since we aren’t doing any solids. I also prefer to use disposable water wipes if their is poop and then dry their bum with the washable ones. I never thought of removing some of the stitching to help with dry time and have less crevasses… I may have to try it!

You should rinse your diapers in cold water before the regular wash. Cold water breaks the protein from any human's secretions and this way helps to remove stains. All the info that you should do the prewash, hot wash etc. creates misinformation.

Thank you for your input. As I said in my video this is what I’ve found works for me based off of the info given on esembly’s website & learning my washer and household water temps. This is the info on the esembly website. “Step 2: Using 1 scoop of Washing Powder and warm water, run a Quick Wash or Normal cycle. Do not be tempted to skip this step. What this cycle does is rinse away the surface soil of the diapers. Which, because of the way surfactants in detergent work, is super-important! The ingredients in detergent attack the easiest-to-find soil first. So if you put very dirty items into the washer as soon as it starts spinning, all of that “dirt” is released into the water. So what does the detergent do? It starts cleaning the water and not deep down into the core of your Inners. By running this (very, very important) cycle, you’re prepping your diapers to get SUPER-clean in Step 3.” I assume you aren’t taking of presoaking diaper but just in case someone were to read it that way this is their warning. “No Soaking: Please note that we do not recommend soaking your diapers. Soaking in anything (even just plain water) can weaken the fabric fibers and cause premature degradation, leading to fraying and tearing. It can also damage elastics and the waterproofing of your Outers and storage bags.” Thanks for watching, I hope this helps 🤍.
