Learn how to upgrade your original equipment Harley-Davidson battery to a new Lithium LiFe battery.
Harley-Davidson Lithium LiFe batteries are a drop-in replacement for the Original Equipment battery with no fit adaptor or foam blocks required and have twice the life span of AGM lead acid batteries when following proper storage instructions. When disconnected from the motorcycle, a Harley-Davidson lithium ion motorcycle battery will maintain its charge without maintenance for up to 12 months.
Our Lithium LiFe batteries feature an internal solid-state Battery Management System that automatically detects over/under charging for more-reliable starting performance and protects the battery from deep discharge, over voltage and over temperature.

I put one on my Electra Glide 3 weeks ago. Zero problems, super fast cranking. The weight difference is amazing. Dropped right in with no problem and no busted fingers.

I bought one for my Ultra Classic. Yes, they're much lighter, but be forewarned. These lithium batteries don't like the cold. Despite being fully charged, I've had some "iffy" cold morning starts.

Double check your battery tender. Not all of them are compatible with the new lithium. Just a possible added expense if you make the switch.

I love these new lithium H-D batteries! So light and powerful! I have the "first gen" with the adapter in my 07 FLTR. The battery retainer doesn't hold the battery in place; I use foam pads on top and front to help retain the battery in place. I had a "first gen" 6amp in my 14 FLSTC which also had the adapter but replaced it with the full size 7amp. Q1: Is there an extended retainer clip for my 07 FLTR? Q2: Will an H-D lithium battery work in my 94 FXR? Thank you for your time 🇺🇸

I think these batteries are rubbish, or the one in my bike is a dud. I have 2022 Pan Am, it has one of these, and the thing doesn't hold a charge, if I let the bike sit for a day, then the next day it has lost voltage and won't start the bike. The Dealer has tested it and keeps telling me it is fine, and I know it is not. I have an aftermarket one in my old Lowrider, it can sit for a week and starts fine. At some stage I'm going to swap them to see if it is something on the bike that is draining it.
