Hey Nate. Instead of using the powder quick clot to stop bleeding I highly recommend you get quick clot that is in a bandage. That stuff is very bad if it gets in your eyes and it burns bad on skin. It's a lot cleaner in bandage form. We (military) converted to quick clot in bandages a couple years ago
I carry a small baggie of salt for cleaning wounds. Cleans as a scrub, disinfects. If you get iodine free (most all salt has iodine) there is little to no sting. Good info. Thanks.
Hey love what you guys do here! ........... Not sure if anyone else has brought this up or not but the wound seal quik clot stuff you may want to look into a little I’m a scout master for local Boy Scout troop and looked into this stuff the past summer and was told by a first responder that the hospital will have to go in and cut away all the flesh this stuff touches so you may want to look into the stuff you’re going use and have a emt-fireman-first responder type go over the time and place to use this stuff..... I’ve always found these people super helpful and glad to help
I like that style of air down, I go around, put each on, wait a minute and go around and take them off, I dont know if I would call them slow. Good chance to let the dogs walk out some of their energy before the trail. Them and my wife usually take longer than it takes me to get ready.
If you like mud or snow you know what that is. Lol love it! My kinetic rope is the best recovery rope I could possibly wish for, especially here in new england where the snows are brutal and the mud pits are deep!
I keep my wrenches in a bag the same way. The best way I found to keep them somewhat organized is run a carabiner through the box end. Makes getting to a size you want a little faster and easier.
Talk about perfect timing for a video. I've been looking at different options to clean up my tools and store them better. Plus I need to reorganize my travel pack for the Civic.
That’s awesome. I really like the vacuum seal idea never really thought of that.... I also like to keep a folding military entrenching tool (folding shovel) lol... i’ve actually used it more than I thought I would!
Great video only thing I'd add to your first aid is benadryl they have pins you can inject (like epipens but way cheaper and no script) and liquid. Can be a life saver if you or someone your with gets hit by something that causes a rxn. Ive litarally seen people come in that would have died without it. It's cheap and small.
Awesome Video Bro!! Watching this makes me want to add more safety stuff like, Bandages and Emergency to my safety kit.. Vacuum bag were a great idea!! Might need to pick one of those up..
One thing I would definitely add would be a tourniquet or more. Obviously knowing how to use it is mandatory too. It might sound overboard but in a serious life or death situation nothing else will work. It will literally save a life since you can bleed out in a minute. Only about $20 bucks so why not
Nate, go to an auto body shop and ask for a piece of the foam that new body panels are wrapped in. It makes for an awesome impromptu ground cover to set/lay on when doing a trail side repair.
i bought the 50 gallon box from home despot. has wheels and air tight lid. i use as tool box and for emergency gear and food and water. tarp twine and para cord. i been thru the TJ and no space for stuff deal. thank God for the old XJ :)
I keep all my tools amd parts in a tupperware that I call the oh shit box, basically the ammount of stuff that I have to take out, the higher the oh shit level
As for any of the blood clotting agents make sure the person you use them on is not allergic to Seafood. If they are allergic, it's possible they can go into anaphylactic shock...
Good call! I actually carry around a vw specific programmer with a couple different tunes. One if them is a limp mode tune that will run without any sensor so I can get off the trail. I can't believe I forgot to mention it lol
Good vid dude. Thank you. It was very well informed and helps a scatter brain like myself. Now can I get you to come tell me how to organize my shop...
its also good to make a small kit off various glues like jb weld, water weld putty, epoxy, super glue .always remember if you don't have it you cant use it'.
Cool stuff man, just wondering if you strap down the ammo cans at all in the rear? I had my hilift jack come from the back of my wagoneer and fly into my windshield when I rolled it. I simply forgot to strap everything down that day and damn near caught the jack to the back of the head.
Great video. Question about your tailgate. Is there another video that shows the latches or was that a kit you bought? Love your TJ. Seriously looking into the TDI swap over a V8 gasser.
1996cruz I’ve put my socket set into a pencil case. Works the same way. I also put wire through the sockets and just twist tied the ends together means if you drop it you won’t see sockets fly everywhere.also keeps the 1/2 and 1/4 separate makes finding the right one easier
where did you find the little black bags for your tools? i have a bunch from a local backpacking place that i keep mine in, but the material isnt made for metal tools haha
It's a turbo diesel from a 2006 vw Jetta. I've got some other videos in my video playlist on this channel if you would like to hear more about it. Thanks for whatching!
What size ammo can is that bigger one? I have the 50 cal boxes for storage and a center console. But am looking for something bigger for items like coolant.
you should do your own research on woundseal. from what ive been told it usually makes things worse and should only be used under extreme emergencies. other then that awesome videos dude
Awesome video and some great tips! Thanks for sharing. Do you strap the ammo cans down or is there not enough clearance for them to slip out when you roll?
Hey Nate. Instead of using the powder quick clot to stop bleeding I highly recommend you get quick clot that is in a bandage. That stuff is very bad if it gets in your eyes and it burns bad on skin. Thanks for the info! I'll definitely look into it!

Those Husky bags are invaluable. Found a bunch on a clearance one day. I worked for HD and a coworker brought them to my attention.
I love the vac seal idea for the first aid kit. I’m going outside right now to do that to mine.
Yeah, a lot of the stuff in those kits doesn't work so well when its soaked in water or mud LOL.
Big fan of the fabrication but its good to see as many trail storage setups as possible from everyone.
Use a carabiner to consolidate your wrenches
Bro, thank you so much.
If you like mud or snow you know what that is. Lol love it! My kinetic rope is the best recovery rope I could possibly wish for, especially here in new england where the snows are brutal and the mud pits are deep!
props to taking the time to show and explain all your gear, very helpful. cheers
Wow, I literally JUST bought a new bag and started making a list 3 days ago to start re-organizing my daily and trail load-out kit. Great timing.
Good ideas Nate. You can also vacuum seal U-Joint boxes so they don't wear out etc. It's nice to have the descriptive box and packaging etc.
Bicycle inter tube is good to throw into first aid kit. Can be used as a Tourniquet in a bad bleeding situation. Or as a sling for an injured arm.
I completely agree with the need for a tourniquet but please don’t use a bicycle tube. Army surplus stores or Amazon has them for pretty cheap.
Love all the black bags you put the tools in
I just ditched a 3 drawer tool box for a bucket boss large tool roll it works perfectly in my xj
I keep my wrenches in a bag the same way. The best way I found to keep them somewhat organized is run a carabiner through the box end. Makes getting to a size you want a little faster and easier.
I like the vacuum seal idea. This video was great! Thanks Nate!

Great idea! I'm going order one and toss it in somewhere!
Wow , with Summer coming up this was perfect
Good! I hope this helps
I have a lot of the same things you have. I got rid of the ammo cans for canvas tool bags. I do like to fab and watching you fab.
Great video

Awesome tip. Do you have a link for these or know where I can get one?
These small videos are great ! Just what I needed!!!
The CJ5 has the TJ beaten as far as puny trunk space.
Great Set up.. Love using surplus ammo cans for kits.. Thanks for sharing
Its exactly what I'm interested in as a new jeep owner! Great stuff!
Thanks! I'm happy to help!

I also keep a poncho and liner, and blankets and Gorilla tape. check out project farm's test of duct tape.ruclips.net/video/UbXy3c2oAfA/видео.html
I keep all my tools amd parts in a tupperware that I call the oh shit box, basically the ammount of stuff that I have to take out, the higher the oh shit level
Great piece of kit ya got there Nate!!
I agree with you, cheap tire deflators are the way to go. I don't understand what the big hurry is when it comes to airing down tires.
Love the spare bearing storage idea
Good! 👍I'm happy to help!
Vacuum sealer and ammo cans are awesome
As for any of the blood clotting agents make sure the person you use them on is not allergic to Seafood. If they are allergic, it's possible they can go into anaphylactic shock...
That's not a real thing my dude.
Great video! I picked up a few good ideas from this.
Thanks! I'm glad to help!
outstanding info. there is no substitute for experience. thank you for sharing all of your knowledge!
My pleasure!
Great video Nate. Ingenious packing.
Thank you!
That's a great video Nate. We all have that problem.
Thanks Nate. You've given me a few ideas.
Thank you! That's what I made the video for!
I like to set up makes it tight keeps everything organized. And everything is easy to access awesome video
Thanks brother 👍
Good video going away with a few new ideas for myself
Awesome! Glad to hear it
Awesome! I have a 1.9na that I put a turbo on. It's in a Suzuki Sidekick with Yota axles.
my right ear loved this video more than the left lmao
You should add an obd code read and the code book in the tool kit.
Good call! I actually carry around a vw specific programmer with a couple different tunes. One if them is a limp mode tune that will run without any sensor so I can get off the trail. I can't believe I forgot to mention it lol
awesome.. ive got the same floor mats had them for 8 years
Great video Nate!! We are fellow Seattleites.
Thanks! If you ever see me on the trails up here, come and say hello!
Will do! I just got my first Jeep 😀 and am having fun working on it and playing in the snow with it. When you get a minute check it out!!
Thanks for doing this video. I learned a couple of good tips for my offroad kit. Liked (already Subscribed)
I hate freezer burnt u joints. Good video Nate.
Lol thanks man
Vacuum seals in the freshness lol
Good vid dude. Thank you. It was very well informed and helps a scatter brain like myself. Now can I get you to come tell me how to organize my shop...
Lol I need to organize mine first!
I buy the plastic ammo cans from Walmart for like $6 a piece for the small ones and the prices for the bigger ones are not much more.
Plastic breaks. Also the way they're shaped make the pretty inefficient at using every square inch of available space.
its also good to make a small kit off various glues like jb weld, water weld putty, epoxy, super glue .always remember if you don't have it you cant use it'.
I’d add some epi-pens, tourniquets, chest seals, nasal pharyngeal tubes, and combat gauze to the first aid kit. That’s what I carry.
Not everyone has an extra $700 laying around to carry a couple EpiPen around just in case...
Where you at, Syria?
I think I'm going to steel the ammo can idea for my own TJ. Been trying to figure out how to organize for a year
And you can even you some of the tools as splints for first aid.
Sam Splints are where it's at.
Dude, this is really good stuff. I need to break out my vacuum sealer!
TORX Bits are a must for any Jeep tool box. He doesn't have any in his tool box.
They were probably in the nut driver bag he didn't open lol
Where did u get those floor mats??? I’ve been looking for a set for my j10 throughout the 2 years I’ve owned the truck and haven’t had any luck
Great video!
Thank you!
Things to fit in:
Jb weld, steel stick, gas tank repair
Cool stuff man, just wondering if you strap down the ammo cans at all in the rear? I had my hilift jack come from the back of my wagoneer and fly into my windshield when I rolled it. I simply forgot to strap everything down that day and damn near caught the jack to the back of the head.
Now this is a great video
I like the ideas they're very clever
Jeepers always ride smart!
Great ideas there that I’ll use... especially the vacuum sealed stuff. Where did you find the nylon zip bags? 👍👍
Thanks! Home depot
Nate Bleepinjeep I just bought some today. Had all the ones I wanted at a good price.
Cool video the little stuff matters 👍
Thanks! Agreed!
lol i remember digging through that o-ring bag with you in the KOA.
Yep! Lol
Great video Bro
Thanks man!
@@natebleepinjeep9564 your very welcome nate
Thanks Nate!
Nice rig
wicked good job Nate, learned tons.
you should really pack a tourniquet in that first aid kit too.
Thanks for the tip! 👍 great idea
Great video. Thanx for sharing ideas.
Thank you! My pleasure
Great video. Question about your tailgate. Is there another video that shows the latches or was that a kit you bought? Love your TJ. Seriously looking into the TDI swap over a V8 gasser.
Thanks! This was a kit I bought. I can remember who makes it unfortunately
I love all the zipper bags, that is a good idea! Where did you get them?
Home Depot had them for a bit... I think they still carry them... Husky tool bags...
Those husky bags are nice. Never seen them before
Thanks for your video brother. I learned a lot.
Dude! Nice job ! I think I may put all my sockets in zipper bags like you; it does take up less room it seems like.
Nice Jeep by the way!
1996cruz I’ve put my socket set into a pencil case. Works the same way. I also put wire through the sockets and just twist tied the ends together means if you drop it you won’t see sockets fly everywhere.also keeps the 1/2 and 1/4 separate makes finding the right one easier
Did you know sunblock expires? We didn’t and learned the hard way. We buy new sunblock every spring.
Thanks Jimmy! Yeah that is something I should consider as well
Add tourniquets to first aid.
Great idea! Thanks
very well done dude
That was a very informative video. Is there a tail gate retro kit for the TJ??
Not sure unfortunately. This is just an aluminum dropdown tailgate kit. But a retro version would be sweet!
Very well thought out system! Do you bring any other spare parts or only what we saw?
Pretty much only what you saw. I do keep some other stuff in my tow truck but I dont have anymore room in the Tj!
Head wounds bleed like crazy. Quick Clot burns like hell.
I'm currently dealing with trying to put trail/road tools into a limited space.
Do you have link to the video you mention by Matt about his tool box he made? You mentioned how he made socket holders etc. ? Thanks
A worthy vid nate !
where did you find the little black bags for your tools? i have a bunch from a local backpacking place that i keep mine in, but the material isnt made for metal tools haha
Love the videos
Glad to hear it!
Nice! Great storage solutions! Go forth, Go prepared! What do you have a VW engine in, the TJ???
turbo diesel swapped from an older Jetta
Yea and he gets like 22mpg turning 40s
It's a turbo diesel from a 2006 vw Jetta. I've got some other videos in my video playlist on this channel if you would like to hear more about it. Thanks for whatching!
What size ammo can is that bigger one? I have the 50 cal boxes for storage and a center console. But am looking for something bigger for items like coolant.
Brady Williams people call them 20mm cans. You can find them pretty easy. If you are near east TN let me know and I can get you one for cheap.
@@badgett83 That's what I thought. I've looked around here in CO. to no avail.
Awesome video, do you ever get annoyed by the parts moving and rattling in the boxes tho? Also I like your floor mats, I have the same ones in my cj7
Thank you! With the nylon bags I dont hear any noise while on the trail. It's all pretty quiet actually. Especially if you drive a diesel lol
"If you have one of these [spares] then you don't break as often."
Spaketh the Wise Maharishi.
you should do your own research on woundseal. from what ive been told it usually makes things worse and should only be used under extreme emergencies. other then that awesome videos dude
Amazing video
Dope video !!!
Awesome video and some great tips! Thanks for sharing. Do you strap the ammo cans down or is there not enough clearance for them to slip out when you roll?
Does anyone have a link to those tool pouches?
I was under the impression your not supposed to use clotting agents on your head?
