That's a really cool idea putting the light outside of the window to imitate/control the outdoor lighting. Definitely gonna use this technique in the future. Awesome video, Nigel! Miss ya, dude. Also, shout out to Sean Stone!
Excellent video. It's not just videographers or youtubers. I'm an artist and spend so much time setting up just the right light for a commissioned portrait. This has helped me a lot. Thanks!
Ha! Great idea about the ending (RUclips will like that) and on the serious side, thank you for reviewing the AFFORDABLE versions of kit, and I look forward to getting into LIGHTS!
Liked the video before I even watched it because when it comes to budget gear you are really one of few people that actually suggest good stuff that won’t make me go broke
im going to buy it , love the way ur using it . ur scenes dont look lit but just natural. what soft box can u buy with it ? if u have a link as i dont want to make mistakes
Nigel, is it just me or you tried to give the video a sort of "vintage look"? Not bc of 4:3, but I can see some different in terms of sharpness and grain. Am I just blind, is it YT compression or else? thanks!
If you end up doing youtube full-time, this type of thinking will hold you back. If I charged my normal rates for all the filming and editing in this video, not to mention sharing it with my audience that I worked my ass off to get, Godox would actually owe me money. Idk about you, but my bills can't be paid with camera gear, a $169 light is no form of payment in my books. All that being said I never accept payment for reviews anyway, free gear already gives people the impression of bias.
@@NigelBarros then you should say it differently. You should say i want to be paid from Godox, but i am only recipient of their Product, and i will tell you guys what is good and what is not very clear. Now we as people who trusting Reputation from the guy on the video must think why he said SO? Maybe it is only my perspective. Maybe.
@@Ded-Miron I can understand your perspective but the fact is that I DON"T want to be paid by a company to review a product. As soon as money is involved I will be compelled to say nice things about a product. The reason I tend to only feature products I like on my channel is that when I receive a product, I don't like, I send it back. Most of the time even if I like a product that I got for free I give it to friends anyway. I try my best to be as transparent with my takes on gear as I can, but as I previously stated, free gear doesn't pay my rent, so I have full creative control with typically no time restraints, which is how I like it!
@@NigelBarros try this one:) nobody was doing this on youtube. You review Product and then you give Product to someone who will do also review but unprofessional. Would be nice experiment.
King of budget lights and the coolest guy I know. 😂

Not innovative at all it has been done in every film for decades

Very true
Great video!! That light definitely performed quite well in the narrative project! Can't wait to see the final outcome!
I, the pioneer of the Godox SL60w RUclips hype, pass the torch to you, my friend. Enjoy the clout 😎😎
😅 ¿quien?
I accept this responsibility

Love this light Nigel and be able to control via blue tooth makes it easy

Dude what a vibe intro!
Well done Nigel it is time to change my lighting set up big Thanks
Amazing review. This is definitely my next big purchase
The "Dark Cave" look is all over YT because everyone blasts their face with light and to hell with the rest lol
Probably about time I spent a little more on my lighting equipment 🤔 great video!
Very impressive Light Nigel
Ooooh youuuuu! That ending! 😂🤣😂
Great vid, cool light. Hope you get a bed base soon 🤞
The mark 2 is out but looks like they didn't actually fix the number gripe - the noise. They only updated the marketing but forgot to update the fan.
Great light!
I think "dark cave" look really became your thing. I remembered you because of it and watched a lot of videos, so it worked :)
Glad you liked it! As my tastes have changed since then, I like brightening things up so they look a little less "lit"
I agree with your la.....
wow! the ML60 have been my light for some time, but this is cool.
Love it ❤
lmao that outro was great
I gotta be careful watching your vids. I always end up buying stuff 🤣

If only it could take a v mount battery
Can you suggest a v mount version
So not a good Key light?
Hi Nigel, great vid. One question I have is what’s the fan noise like? The original sl60w was notoriously loud. How’s the fan noise on this? Cheers
how come you're shooting 4:3?
allows me to recrop a little easier and I like the vibe
60w Do they make a battery powered one?
Whats that mic you're using?
How do you get them to send them to you ? I want to test them
Which lens have you used on this video?
Geen accu
Okay guy from MrBeast
Stupid to tell, i am not getting paid. You received Product. They are paying you with Product.
