i think a very different idea for a build can be n underground "town" and above is a comunity lot with a secret hall to get to the downstairs

You should build some kind of small city with all those debug buildings with one small townhouse to live in.
Yeah I wouldn't mind that too, though those debug buildings are tricky to maneuver with. Also, It's too bad EA has been stingy with giving us less 64x64 lots in the most recent game packs.

I think it’d be good to keep the trashy home in your save! It’s so good. An apartment starter would be good because I love starting my sims out in apartments. It feels more realistic!

I LOVE this house!! It's so warm and homey and suits the tinkers so well I think!! I'm so excited for the Villareal family home! I'd love to see another modern home (like the Landgraab mansion and the architects house on the opposite lot to them) for a small family who are quite minimal and private!
Parks are one of my favorite community lots to build!! I find that choosing the activities you want to include and placing them down first helps you get an idea of the flow of the park and the pathways will come more naturally. Also choosing a simple landscaping formula helps make parks look more manicured and maintained. Happy building!
I love this build btw, it reminds me of so many homes in the pacific northwest! Rustic and cozy, my fav!
Maybe with the new Star Wars pack you could create a family home where the kids/teens are obsessed with Star Wars and have their rooms decorated in that theme!

Dawn, a suggestion for a premade sim:
I noticed that in your save file the Diego Lobo's apartment, despite being gorgeous, wasn't build specifically for him (I think it was for an athlete, sporty sim, maybe?). I was wondering if it's in your plans, cause he's such an interesting sim, classy, artistic, kinda over-the-top etc hahaha I think you could make his dream apartment and have a lot of fun with it! ☺️💙
For the Villarreal house you could make the interior the modern part. Like keep the same windows and exterior but have a bright white kitchen and very new contemporary white walls and bathrooms. Just a thought. Seems pretty realistic since most expensive homes have been updated.

I get what you mean about parks. I think it's partly because the landscaping is such a main feature and you sort of have to place activities around the landscaping instead of the other way around 😅

Hey Simlicy! Thanks for your awesome video builds. So I have an idea of a build you can do next. I was thinking of an older sister (young adult) caring for her younger sibling (school aged) build .. something like where they lost they’re parents and the older sibling had custody of the child 🤷♀️🥴 lol it’s a little dramatic but I thought I’d be cool where like you build the home suiting the both of them. If you’re interested, I’d love to see you build it!

I know people that use the back entrance to their house just because it’s easier it also makes sense because the garage is right there so they just park and use the closest entrance

i also like to use debug plants for the exterior bc its cheap, but ive a problem idk if its normal when i try to place plants on the ground next to the house they dont wanna stay down, they go up if they are close to the building.. with the normal payin plants i dont think ive that trouble tho. ive also been givin makeovers to the pre made sims and houses, and like u said its fun to make over their house and style according to their traits/interests i also try to do that.. makes it a bit easier to know what to add to the house/ decorations and colors etc..

I wouldn’t be too bothered if there was a couple of more modern out of place looking eco houses in this neighbourhood. I would just assume that family is just more progressive and already ahead of the town.
I don’t mind the house facing the other way - you can set outer doors as the front door. You could choose the back door as the front and vice versa 😁

You could make an empty version of the trashy house to be the starter version and then have the furnished trashy version be your furnished version ?
