1985 Mercedes-Benz 380SL Red/Beige 112,000km, $17k recent maintenance, SOLD

Lawrence Romanosky reviews a nice R107 Mercedes-Benz convertible; a 1985 380SL. The last year of the 380 SL. The last few years of 380 SL production had the much more durable double row timing chain. This is a Canadian market car that was sold new into Mississauga, Ontario and made its way to Calgary. It has benefitted from over $17,000 in recent maintenance from Lone Star Mercedes Benz and Continental Auto Repair: Major items were installing a MB factory remanufactured steering box ($6,600!), replacing various front suspension pieces, replacing and upgrading the A/C to R134a, and resealing the gearbox and replacing the engine's rear main seal. All the big jobs that you don't want to do!
This SL presents really nicely with one quality repaint and an unmarked interior. No accidents and paint meter report shows no problem areas. It has no corrosion and every panel is straight.
