Nice to see another Seafoam Green FoMoCo car. I have a ‘68 Cougar XR7 with a 390 in Seafoam Green and cannot believe how many compliments I get on the color.

Fabulous restoration of a great vehicle! Brought back so many memories as we had one in Ethiopia in the early 60s, and that was a country which really tested the ability of a Landy! Ours had twin petrol tanks, one under each seat, and a Jerry can mounted in front of each front wing (that's whe the headlights are where they are!!) Many thanks for the video.

cars are made to be driven, not showed-off in a garage. nothing has shown that more than the 3 million mile p1800. Restored and then parked. Cars are not investments, they are a way to drive somewhere.

Could’ve bought one of these series, 2 roadsters in the 1990s London it was in Ealing. I think it was £11,000 at the time exactly the same colour crazy they’re worth today but obviously not worth nowhere near as much of a series one that is the baby👌

Rather than pressing the N button, just pull both paddles at the same time to put in neutral. It feels so much more natural and you remain in touch with what’s going on. As an automated manual always lift as you change gear otherwise the clutch life will be considerably reduced.

Thank-you for the overview. I am looking for a 78-79 928, but seeing what you have gone through, I don't know if I'm that dedicated. Being a fellow Canadian this is an eye opener. I'll keep educating myself so I can make an informed decision. I think the most important aspect will be finding a car with the best interior possible. Enjoyed the video and subscribed.

That's one of the few cars where the fins blend in with the styling. I believe the later MGB engines went from 3 to 5 main bearings.

Cars are meant to be ran and driven and if they sit it don't matter the low miles because most of the time the engine will need to come out and be rebuilt. Many low miles car that don't run much will spin a bearing on it's first drive just from being dry for so long and it leaves a sticky tarnish that will usually grab and spin a bearing that is why it's good to drive them even around the block every year is better then not ran at all and the fuel tank you gotta leave them completely empty because if you leave them with a half or quarter tank it will rust and tarnish the tank and sending unit and today's fuel with the menthol is the worst on a carburetor or injectors and fuel pumps and everything will need rebuilt or total replacement of the fuel system.

That roadster caught my eye right off the hop. Now that is a fine piece of engineering

Hi, What a lovely car! Just want to fill in a few details of 124-information. This model was called 320CE cabrio in the rest of the world. The 300CE-24 cabrio that you are mentioning had the KE-jetronic fuel injected M104. This car has the later Motronic fuel injected M104. The 124 was for some reason called "300-class" in the north American market. There as you had the 300E 2,6, which was called 260E everywhere else.... The 500E/E500 was a beautiful executive rocket, but it was NOT rare! There were 10.479 built including the 148 of the E60 AMG. The 300TE-24, the 300D 4-matic and the 260E 4-matic are exemples of models built in lot less numbers, not mentioning the E36 AMG different configurations, and the long wheel based cars. Not all aluminium. The rear tubs are made of steel, assumed for weight distribution. AMDS can read the clutch wear index on SportShift equipped cars. Nice example and video.

The clovers on the rear pillars should be gold over white. The park brake handle is missing the black plastic end grip. It’s a shame the Spica has been removed for a carb conversion. Once properly set up the Spica is nearly bulletproof other than the thermostatic actuator every 30,000 miles or so. It’s a smooth and reliable injection system on arguably the smoothest Alfa Nord engine. The two liter never felt as nice IMHO. I always enjoyed turning on the key and the nice little buzz from the fuel pump until the fuel pressure light went out. Then the car would start right up and idle perfectly. It’s a plus the twin Bonaldi boosters are still present. The rest of the car looks pretty good. The one I owned had Klippan style seat belts. Mine was 69’US Ochre/black. These cars are under appreciated to my mind. Very involving and enjoyable to drive.

Great restoration job Lawrence. I noted that your battery connections appeared to be held on by friction. Could I suggest that you insert a screw through the top where the hole is, directly into the battery post, thereby getting a more permanent connection.

So einen Zagato 1300 hatte ich in den Siebzigern in gelb. Karosse ist schlecht verarbeitet. Überall kamm Frischluft durch. Es zieht bei Kälte. Motor war bei Vollgas auf Autobahn nicht standfest. Sonst ein sehr schönes Sportcoupe.
