Fun! As I recall, the original singers (Starland Vocal Band I think) scored a TV series thanks to this one song's success - the only band to ever make this claim. I don't think the series lasted very long. Thanks for posting..

Well done! As always, I think the original by the now-retired Starland Vocal Band is vocally superior, but this is a great cover of one of my all-time favorite songs. I really thought the reggae feel was a really interesting and cool rendition.

I hear a keyboard, a hi-hate and drum in this song.. I feel like Im watching the partridge family.
This is more like it - a professional workup of the tune. Of course, this is one of those cases (like Stairway to Heaven or whatever), where the original ain't broke, so you can't fix it, so what are you gonna do? You introduce the lilt/reggae groove and the heavy bass line, and it works pretty well to avoid simply trying to clone the original. The vocal blend is very smooth, and the tempo is perfect - just a great recording all the way around. They generally didn't booger up the harmonies and do anything tacky to try to be cute there, so that's good. What I don't like is that they crapped out somewhat on the slightly tricky but very beautiful long ending phrase. (That arguably is the best single part of the whole thing.) That _has_ to be cloned, and it sounds disappointingly underdone here. (And not tricky at all.) But if you're gonna do this song, they took the right approach and came up with a very nice, listenable result. I like it a lot. Love the happy, happy, joy, joy video as well.

Almost skipped by this one now I'm glad I didn't. Only thing i didnt like about it was that moment at 3:09 into the song...because that's where it came to an end lol. Your sound is addictive...once you start to listen to it you just keep wanting more.
