By any chance is this bike a Raleigh Humber as the Humber in the much early years had a removable rear . I've got 2 Humber's one from 1961 and one from 1949 unrestored and still usable

As a youth I had a 1964-vintage 26"-rim Göricke bike (made in Brazil to German specs) with exactly the same brake arrangement (seems to me that not everybody likes Palmer cables). Stolen in Paquetá Island (bike-traffic only), Guanabara Bay, 1970 :'-( .

Rod brakes. They were fitted to everything years ago. I have a cycle from 1934 fitted with them.

It was perfectly ok until someone painted mud all over it!
Why didn't you remove the rust on the pedal/cog with a wire brush attachment on the grinder.Instead of spray painting over it.The rust will just eat through the paint.

Hay que estár consiente que es una restauración personalizada, ya que a la bici se la ha colocado muchas partes que no son acordes a su modelo, aunque hay que reconocer que quizás esté caballero no tendría todo los accesorios de época e hizo lo mejor posible para poder darle el noble uso de circular este hermoso ejemplar de la historia

Pues yo lo unico que le veo moderno es el juego de la estrella de centro, que es con eje de tuerca y no de alfiler, de ahi en fuera es todo el grupo de frenos para una bicicleta rodada 28 o 24 y el cuadro que no trae doble barra como las antiguas de cartero en mexico, hay que tener en cuenta qeu es otro continente y otros los diseños el manubrio y el juego de frenos son los acordes asi como las llantas. a lo mejor u asiento de piel con resorte para darle ese toque de antiguo. saludos.
