    • Northbox 6XL Kit Assembly
    NOTE: refer to the short video below as there is an error regarding how the lower panel and one of the side panels connects. The rubber bumpers should be on the same side.

    where'd you get the pylon push pins that you use to mount the fan grill and fan to the hardboard? it seems a lot more easier to use than the screw, washer and bolt assemblies i've seen.

      They are called "weather strip retainers" and are used by General Motors.

    Hi! I'm interested in getting this model. Is it quieter than the 5X one?

    • @RobertFantinatto
      @RobertFantinatto  28 дней назад

      The fans are rated the same sound level by the manufacturer as the smaller ones we use in the 5X but there are six instead of five. The sound level measures a bit higher, 39.8 db vs 34.1 db, but the difference is minimal, especially once you get farther than a metre.

    I am assembling my kit I just got. Should the bumpers be on the same corner or opposite corners. Watching both videos because I think my kit is new, but my bolts have ring nuts …

      Thanks for catching that, I'd recommend putting the bumpers on the same corner, that was an error on my part and I'll have to update the video! The ring nuts are a left over from the previous design but the way they work is the same for both versions, we had to replace them when it became impossible to get them for a while.

      @@RobertFantinattoSo the bumpers go away from the fans. Couldn’t figure it out.

      @@TaraTrus-u1v The fan bodies provide something for the filters to rest on, the bumpers do the same for the opposite corner, sorry about the confusion but thank you for pointing out the error!

    One question the link is broken for the 20X20X1, can I confirm which Filtrete model it is?

      @RobertFantinatto  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for pointing out the broken link, I have updated it and hopefully it is fixed.
      You want the 3M Filtrete MPR1900 or 2200, both are MERV13 rated, and 20 x 20 x 1.
      Here is the link just in case:
