The adjectives used to describe Bushmasters in this video are spot on... :incredible", "impressive" and "amazing". Bushmasters are the ultimate venomous snake. Thanks for another great video packed with awesome snakes and great info.
Gotta love bushmasters. You have such an impressive collection of giant hot species, i feel it's just missing a banded krait, which (IMO) is one of the most interesting and beautiful of the larger venomous. They are known to have vipers and even king cobras on the menu, can you imagine that!? 10 footer kraits in West Bengal have been reported to eat similar sized cobras. Now *that* is impressive in my book!!

Wow! This video is just awesome! Your bushmasters are real beasts and as always I really appreciate the big amount of education. As I lived in Costa Rica for some time for me it was especially interesting to see the maps of their habitats. Keep up the good work!
Thank You Willie and Deena for another great video. It’s truly awesome to watch a professional. No games, no silliness, just beautiful snakes, facts and educational content.

That was a real kick ass video . I can’t imagine why in the hell our so called leaders would have reason to object to your lectures and hands 🙌 on instruction . Education doesn’t get any better than this.
You’ve heard it a million times in comments but it’s true… you are the best handler with the most amazing specimens on RUclips. Hands down. And those bushmasters intimidate. The way they hold their head up and lock on with a stare… 😱
Beautiful Bushmaster, by the way I still coming back to South Carolina on November, so do you know someone that could mentor me, I don't mind if people don't have a facility, as long someone knows how to work with venomous especially in their own house, I'm fine with that.
They don't overlap in nature, so I don't think so. "Lock and Key" system in breeding stops certain breeding. So more likely in a stenophrys x melanocephala, which has happened. Maybe a muta x acrochorda... Maybe. But nature finds a way. Thanks for watching! 🐍👍🙏
Hello Willy! Hello Ms Deanna! It just occurred to me. The babies may have more potent venom, but their fangs aren't as long, strong or developed. Whereas the adults have long teeth guaranteed to pierce the skin and the muscle. I would imagine that makes a difference. What do you think?
Great video. Always learn something 🙏🏻🙏🏻 … while watching this, I thought about hybrid breedings. I have no idea why. But hypothetically : could you imagine the offspring of a Lachesis Melanocephala x Bothrops Atrox ? That could be the equivalent of a weapon of mass destruction lol !! Has hybrid pit viper breedings ever been attempted to your knowledge ?
Check out the last video, it's all about hybrid and hybrid vigor, but Lachesis and Crotalus can't hybridize or breed. They have to be same genus family, that's what lock and key system meaning is ! Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it! 🐍👏👍💪
Perfect way to end the day. Keep us going with the MONSTER series. Only you can show killa snakes monsta' respectable size and handle em responsibly. Major 👏
So majestic, they just command respect. You know if you mess up he will be on you like lightning. Man my Fu-k head neighbor killed a 5ft canebrake yesterday. Oh man I was so pissed. It bit his stupid lil yapper dog on the nose. Dog is ok went to vet got antivenin . Why kill an animal for defending it's self. So upset here in Lexington SC. Take it easy Willie 🙂
Hey Willie, yes the dog is fine. Vet said because it was bit on nose , the boney area helped . That canebrake could not have unloaded all their hurt juice or that 8lb. Weenie dog would have been a goner.
It boggles my mind how HUGE they get. I can’t imagine an envenomation being anything other than quick death. Wow what a way that would be to go too, NOT!
They call a lot of venomous deadly snakes the 2 step, but it was likely a Fer de Lance. There's also snakes in Asia they call 2 step ... It usually means the deadly snake in that location that you don't want to mess with, that has potential to kill you before you get to treatment. Thanks so much for watching! 🐍🙏👍💪😜
Yes. Deforestation for agricultural purposes(farming) will remove primary forest and decrease the available habitat. Bushmasters do not adapt well to secondary forest, unlike Bothrops species , which adapt quite well.
No I haven't!! 38 years in this. And we do keep our own antivenom and have a great bite protocal in place just in case of an accidental envenomation. We are professionals in this field.
Are your captive snakes in anyway aggressive towards you? Are they accustomed to you and mellow, and more agitated when say an unknown visitor comes by your place ? The second Bushmaster is GORGEOUS!
Hi mate i need your help, my melanocephala hasnt taken a shit for over 3 months now, i feed him one adult mouse every 12 weeks, he is about 2 years old now. I keep the temps around 26 celsius. What can i do to make him shit? He only took a shit on the first day i got him amd that was back in april

Witch one is known as the 2 step? In Panama, the army training area for the US army, it was called the 2 step. Was it the black head bushmaster?
They call a lot of venomous deadly snakes the 2 step, but it was likely a Fer de Lance. There's also snakes in Asia they call 2 step ... With all the changes in forests and other areas, does it change the snakes’ range at all?
Yes. Deforestation for agricultural purposes(farming) will remove primary forest and decrease the available habitat. Bushmasters do not adapt well to secondary forest, unlike Bothrops species , which adapt quite well.
I just want to know have you ever been bit by any snake????

Are your captive snakes in anyway aggressive towards you? Are they accustomed to you and mellow, and more agitated when say an unknown visitor comes by your place ? The second Bushmaster is GORGEOUS!
Beautiful snakes. Ill bet their venom could cure cancer if studied properly.
venom is used for numerous medications...... so i wouldn't be surprised if they are not studying it already.......
I want to hold on them so bad but I don't want to hold one because they're so bad.

A 2 year old should be on small rats. It's normal for them to go long periods without defecating. More so with adults. Young ones about every 6 weeks.
good evening, why do all vipers in the whole world have cat eyes? even here in Greece all vipers have cat's eyes
