    Gotta love bushmasters. You have such an impressive collection of giant hot species, i feel it's just missing a banded krait, which (IMO) is one of the most interesting and beautiful of the larger venomous. They are known to have vipers and even king cobras on the menu, can you imagine that!? 10 footer kraits in West Bengal have been reported to eat similar sized cobras. Now *that* is impressive in my book!!

    Is it possible to breed stenophrys with lachesis muta?

    • @VenomCentral
      @VenomCentral  3 года назад

      They don't overlap in nature, so I don't think so. "Lock and Key" system in breeding stops certain breeding. So more likely in a stenophrys x melanocephala, which has happened. Maybe a muta x acrochorda... Maybe. But nature finds a way. Thanks for watching! 🐍👍🙏

    Hello Willy! Hello Ms Deanna! It just occurred to me. The babies may have more potent venom, but their fangs aren't as long, strong or developed. Whereas the adults have long teeth guaranteed to pierce the skin and the muscle. I would imagine that makes a difference. What do you think?

  • @rianpoltrone2659
    @rianpoltrone2659 3 года назад +1

    Great video. Always learn something 🙏🏻🙏🏻 … while watching this, I thought about hybrid breedings. I have no idea why. But hypothetically : could you imagine the offspring of a Lachesis Melanocephala x Bothrops Atrox ? That could be the equivalent of a weapon of mass destruction lol !! Has hybrid pit viper breedings ever been attempted to your knowledge ?

    • @VenomCentral
      @VenomCentral  3 года назад

      Check out the last video, it's all about hybrid and hybrid vigor, but Lachesis and Crotalus can't hybridize or breed. They have to be same genus family, that's what lock and key system meaning is ! Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it! 🐍👏👍💪

    • @VenomCentral
      @VenomCentral  3 года назад +1

      They call a lot of venomous deadly snakes the 2 step, but it was likely a Fer de Lance. There's also snakes in Asia they call 2 step ... With all the changes in forests and other areas, does it change the snakes’ range at all?

    • @mharris1062
      @mharris1062 3 года назад

      Yes. Deforestation for agricultural purposes(farming) will remove primary forest and decrease the available habitat. Bushmasters do not adapt well to secondary forest, unlike Bothrops species , which adapt quite well.
