I've ridden motorcycles since I was 13 years old. In 2015, an injury left me unable to ride a 2 wheeler,😢 thankfully, my riding buddies talked me into a Ryker, I can get back in the wind now.😊
Simple its for people who cant or dont want to balance a bike. Inner ear problems, anxiety, ptsd, injuries, or just clumsy in general. Better to drive this than endanger yourself and others. Besides its fun to ride
They're also for those who just want something fun to ride. If that means getting criticized for riding a trike, not my problem. If/when I get a Ryker, it'll be for me. I couldn't care less what some random stranger might say about it, especially if it's something derogatory and unnecessarily mean.
idk why you say that because most of the people who buy or ride them have nothing to do with that and they werent designed for people with disabilities
As someone with Multiple Sclerosis, and unable to handle two wheels, I LOVED mine. As someone else has already said, it looks like you're not in sport mode, it's makes a huge difference. Bloody wife has just sold ours! Divorce papers are in the post. 😂 Cheers
i rode 2 wheels for years, august i had a stroke, while i am almost fully recovered, i couldbt ride my adventure bike anymore, it was just too heavy, so i traded it in on a ryker and have been riding it all the time and love it....i can just ride, no worries!
I own one. I own a Hayabusa also....... For me it's a major leg injury and I can barely walk. I can't hold the Busa up anymore (safely). In the future, after a lot of physical therapy, maybe? But I wanted to ride this summer so badly, I bought one of these just to have the wind in my face. Other than that I can't tell you why LOL... Like you indicated in the video, it is fun in a weird way, but I can't pinpoint why or what!
good for you ,not giving up, i had a Busa as well, med illness took my ability away for riding Busa , thinking in near future of returning to riding and looking at Can-am products,, which did you buy ? HAGD
@@thomasdausch8557 Went with the Can Am Ryker. Is it as fun as a two wheeler motorcycle? No, for me it’s not, but sure beats watching all the bikes go by and wishing I was out there. Better than nothing, as they say. It’s fun and different in their own way, a way you can’t just put a finger on “why?”.
Good to hear guys! When options become limited, the Ryker at least has character. Other possibilities we can think of are easily much more expensive or very boring (or even worse, both!). Just out of curiosity, were there any other rides you considered?
I will say this! its a 3 wheel automatic... it literally makes motorcycles on public roads more pointless than ever unless you live in like a developing economy...goofy to me that ppl try so hard to intellectualize something that is clearly so fun and harmless
cant wait to ride one down in miami for nightlife easy and safe to carry someone roads are dangerous down there drivers dont care about your safety and I feel more responsible carrying someone on that over my busa I'll be looking for a second hand sport they start at 900cc like you said and I'll be doing some performance mods from there! just pure fun no worries with groceries on my back or a drink out it'll be the first thing I can ride for a while after my surgery this winter
Let's face it, it's a 3 wheeled car, marketed as a motorcycle while having none of its characteristics except for the handlebar and seat, for people that want to, but can't ride a motorcycle Pro's over a bike? It doesn't fall over, usable in winter(?) Pro's over a car? Cheaper than a Convertible?
Actually, a Slingshot is a better description of a three-wheeled car than a Ryker would be. A Slingshot actually looks like a car from the front, where a Ryker, or any other trike, looks nothing like a car. Aside from the wheels having car-like rims, that is.
What's your point? It's obviously a trike, anyone can see that. If you don't like them, that's your right, but let those who own one enjoy their machine.

Once you get used to them they're fun to ride, great on the freeway, and a blast on curvy mountain roads.
We’d happily take one on a longer (and hopefully less wet) spin in the future. This ride was on the short side.
They are fun from the start , don’t know where the once you get used to them was about
@@chrississon2646 It came from remembering how different it felt coming from a two wheeler, it took a little getting used to.

IDIOT!
Well since I am disabled and yes I would buy two of them

@@RunningWide Ya, I looked at the Spyder too. It was bigger and more expensive. I drive both and just felt the Ryker was sportier, if possible.
You can say it's for people who want to have fun on a bike there are people who just cannot ride a two-wheeler bike so it is a perfect substitute
Just purchased one. Got rid of my Indian. Much more fun. 😮
Put it in Sport Mode and fill the different.
Not really much different in sport mode tbh
I love my 900 sport

The real question is wether other motorcyclist will wave at you
They will not… 😢
I beg to differ. They always do to me
@@DjeyB55 Honestly and all jokes aside, glad to hear it 👍🏻
Mostly no.... I stopped trying to wave at other motorcycles (was denied too often LOL). If they wave first I happily wave back (rarely).
I'm not ride ing out there to be waved at by some fool going down the road

@@will4958lol I'm just saying no point at all sir, by the way I do own one myself..
A trike is 2 in back one in front… this is a bike..
I want my time back...
Have you kept the receipt?
I was done 2 minutes in. You complained the whole damn time. You made it totally unwatchable.
