Here in the United Kingdom we play 'skittles' with 9 - pins. About 50,000 of us go out doing this every week! I'd love to go to San Antonio for a few games, but it's 5,000 miles as the crow flies, so a bit too far for an evening...! Thanks so much for posting.
Very interesting you should say that, my research says that the tenth pin was added before the game left England to get around the time the 'game of 9-pins' was wasted by the lower classes who should have been practising their archery! However, who can really be sure??? Games expert James Masters has conclusive proof that the game goes back 3,500 years as complete games have been found in Egyptian tombs!

Very different, although if you have a love for the sport of 10 pin bowling, we cant forget it's heritage.

They have it in Clinton, OK now. They have four person teams. The alley does regular 10-pin bowling on other days.
