Oh thank you so much! Am glad to make some people happy! Yes, like minds... good to know you're out there :-) My denim strips are about 3.5cm, which is about 1 3/4 inches. The braid is about 2 cm wide (1,5 inches). You might have to try it out a bit - it depends on how wide the sole is that you want... Best to you and have fun with this! (I'll post a shoe post tonight...)
tks and Hi from Australia great ideas- I have been using 3 mm paracord rope for soles and crocheting the soles and broke a few crochet hooks and put two soles together but will try platting paracord together and hand stich them and will only need only one layer which will be extra thick and strong and I will use denim inserts and I am just starting spinning and just yesterday picked up some fleece to make thick wool! I will crochet ankle boots straight onto top of rope -made some from internet of crochet slippers patterns with thongs but I changed them a little - I roll down top and they look like cute hobbit boots especially if multi coloured! you can use fishing line to stitch soles together works well! lol

Hi, yes, how wide are your denim strips? Also, thank you so much for all your sharing and making the booklet available :)). Wonderful Valentine's Day gift to me when I opened my email and saw you had posted some videos! I've been patiently waiting and patience pays off. Definitely making house shoes for myself (of course) as practice and then hoping to make a pair for each of my children for Christmas 2013! Thank you so much. I'm off to your blog to view and download:)) Like minds alike...
Hi! None of these are, I would say, but in one of my next videos I am showing espadrille-soles, which you could definitely use for outdoors. Right now, these are all indoor-shoes, but stay put, outdoor shoes will follow soon ;-)
