- Here we are, finally we've come to the end of this journey...the boots are finally done!
Entirely handmade using traditional shoemaking methods. Originally inspired by a boot in The Met's archives, dated to 1915. I took elements from that design and applied them to my own. I've long been enamored by fashion from the turn of the century and have finally gotten around to creating my own boots to wear in my everyday life.

I love how 3/4 of the process is just “HIT THE SHOE! HIT THE SHOE! HIT THE SHOE!”
From Bernadette Banner, now here, the algorithm has sent me to the historical crafts of RUclips.
How dare you make something so stunning! My heart actually skipped a beat while watching you make them it’s unfair.
Too kind!! 🥰🥰 thank you ♥️

I came here from Trenton & Heath. Beautiful boots and a great video.
They came out beautifully. I love them. Thank you for videoing making these boots. It is so fascinating to watch how they came together.
Thank you!
They look fantastic. I know you don’t mean for these to be tutorials but I learn a lot from each of you videos.
If you don’t mind me asking, what was the tape you put over the toe puff and what weight leather did you use for the stiffener?
Thank you
Thank you! It’s actually not tape but a strip of paper (you can use newspaper or magazine paper). It’s a little trick I learnt to help conceal the edge of the toe puff under the upper leather. As for weight I don’t remember but when I get back to my studio I’ll check for you. It was quite thin and I skived to practically paper thin.
Thank you so much!
So glad I found your channel through CoCovid. There is nothing more satisfying than to watch a competent craftswoman with all the cool tools make something so beautiful. New sub.
Absolutely gorgeous! Wearing those would bring them back in style and most people wouldn’t know they were in style at one time anyway.
What is the feeling walking in those gorgeous boots? Are they confortable?

Absolutely beautiful! Watch your video for the third time. One question: is there no tongue in Edwardian boots?
Your idea to put a strip of newspaper as an overlap to your toe cup stiffener is brilliant and will be copyied! Happy shoemaking!!!
