Honestly, I never understood the appeal of BapeStas. They always seemed like knockoff Forces to me. That being said, with how limited they are, your collections are very impressive. You guys have some old pairs in awesome condition. I can really appreciate the discipline and patience it takes to collect like this.
Yo Keezy, just to put your mind at ease, not only are all the leather Bapestas perfectly wearable, but you absolutely do not have to worry about them "crumbling". That only applies to the Roadstas since they used foam midsoles. Bapestas use rubber cup soles, they're pretty much unkillable. The worst that could happen is slight separation, but they're stitched in anyways and you can reglue. As for the patent Bapestas, you're right not to wear those, the leather will definitely flake off. Patent Bapestas from 2009 onwards (with BAPE on the soles) can be worn though, they use better Patent that doesn't flake. Sick collection btw!

The only thing that I can't really respect about shoe collectors (The ones who strictly buy shoes just to collect) is when they just refuse to wear their shoes. It's like if a person decides to build or buy a bunch of houses just to be able drive past each of them to say "Oh yeah, I own that house too but I refuse to live in it or rent it out to someone else or sell it." You're not appreciating the actual purposeful function of the item & that's to use it. I'm a sneaker lover/shoe connoisseur/historian myself but I could never buy a shoe just to have it & look at for 10+ years. I buy things not just because I like them & appreciate the history & design inspiration behind but I buy it to use it. I'm pretty sure Nigo has worn every sing pair of Bapes he's owned & I don't think he created this stuff with the intention of people hoarding them up in their small apartments dying away. Same with Nikes/Jordans etc.

I would normally agree but the thing with the older Bapestas is the patent leather cracks and flakes off the moment you decide to wear them. That said, they shouldn't be so scared to wear the traditional leather Bapestas, those would be fine.

Gotta wear them and also have gear to maintain the clean look. Angelus Paint, shoe cleaner etc.

Wrong.. the rubber sole will harden, also if remained unworn the leather will dry out and definitely crack
