because during pregnancy there was blood barrier connection b/w placenta and foetus but during delivery placenta breaks and foetus rbc goes to mother body
I think just because of cynosis ...because rbcs are broken down and there will be no affinity of the rbc to bind with oxygen and delivers to the body and may lead to bluish pale skin of the baby just because of hypoxia(lack of oxygen in cells)
