So much for not taxing families making 400k and under more. Great analogy with the car insurance example. My worry is this may put people already in shaky financial positions in an even worse position having a mortgage when the recession gets worse. We played a similar game in 2006-2008 trying to make housing accessible in an artificial way.
Yes, artificially messing with the system never works. That’s why we’ve seen inflation where it’s been. The government should just keep their hands off everything. 😎
Still getting notices of big price dropss of $10,000-$50,000 in Boise area. Beautiful homes in Eagle and Meridian now showing up Getting closer to an even bigger drop in prices as ..... 1) Demand drying up for housing as mortgage apps substantially DROP 2) Unemployment claims seeing substantial increases 3) Inventory on the market should now start increasing 4) Foreclosures should start hitting later this year 5) Bigger price drops follow soon after
I am not sure why anyone would buy a house in the Boise area when it is much cheaper to rent. This rule is just plain dumb and another reason not to buy anywhere. Thanks for posting.
