Great video, looking forward to my Z790-A and i9 14900K build. Wondering, what is the purpose of installing the black bracket at the beginning behind the cpu on the MB?
Thank you for the kind words. The black bracket is a mounting bracket for the all in one kraken cooler. The cooler screws to that bracket to keep it in place.
Not at all, they click in easy enough. Make sure you have them seated the correct way and the clip open and they will click right in with a-bit of pressure.
Flipping the PSU would be worse, the case has a vented side panel. I am awaiting some fans to come in stock then it's all going in a new case with a new cooler.
Yeah the only issue I had was the bios was flagging up saying no CPU fan installed as I use an AIO cooler so I just plugged one of the fans in the MB as I didn't trust disabling the monitoring for it.
How is the Ethernet port on this board? My z590 intel i225 was bad. Great video. Did you consider the Asus Z790-F ROG wifi II? This seems like the I version.
I would highly recommend updating bios. Mine did boot up fine with no issues without a bios update and that was on Februarys bios but I did update bios to latest version afew weeks back just to be safe. Really simple job, just make sure you have a USB stick and it's formatted to Fat 32 then just download the bios from the Asus website and then update in bios its a 10 min job max.
Did you get the XMP profile on RAM running? I bought the same setup some time ago, and it didn't boot after setting up XMP, needed to change RAM for different from G.Skill.
Sorry for the delay. Yes XMP is running fine with the Kingston DDR5 but I have heard a few people struggling with G Skill. Have you got the latest bios?
Mine runs around 60 idle. When streaming and running the full system flat out I set the cooling high and it doesn't see more than 80 but the systems keeps it 60-70 on average which is very good with the i9s because they run very hot which is why alot undervolt them.
@xNarniex humm, i have a i7 14700k, i think they also run on high temps as the i9s right? I still think the Nvme mounted close to the PCH may also impact temps.

@@xNarniex i see , i will order the i7 14700k in february and looking at tests the max load went up to 100 degrees which is quite a lot ,would dark rock pro 4-5 be able to cool it down or is it worth water cooling anyway ?
The dark rock is a great cooler but also remember that's its not solely the cooler but also bare in mind case flow. The good thing with an aio cooler is it usually draws the direct air from outside the case thus cooling the radiator and water around over the block.
