Last time I saw this loco was at Stratford Depot, E London in 1979, It sounds superb and looks just like when I saw it in this colour, You guys must have done a lot of hard work on the loco, well done another 37 up & running.
Nice split box tractor it fired up pretty easy after hibernating for many years!!! I ain't seen this beast for a long time! But it sounds like its brand new!!!
Been inside this 1 many years ago from Coventry to bham new street as a thank you for my work experience at tysley Railway museum goodness that was back in 98 I was 14 happy memories
You can deffo see it was overhauled compared to some of the other cold start vids of class 37's which seem to have well worn and probably low compression engines.
Well that was far too easy. Expected a bit of a grumble but no, that start was immaculate, better than most active tractors. The old girl looks fresh out of the box.
One of the greatest / nicest sounds was Class 37s on Rannoch Moor / up the West Highland Line, then moved to Cornwall and had them on the clay trains.😛😛😛❤❤❤❤❤
If we put environmental aspects aside: the last videos of „first starts after overhaul“ of this class were painstaking and took several minutes until the motor was half decently running. Compared to this, the initial start of this engine was so smooth, that it felt unreal! Either the team did an amazingly good job - or this wasn‘t the first start of the engine after the repair!

Look at the pollution being caused though. Due to global warming and climate change, these outdated locos should be consigned to museums or scrapped.
Wow hats off to the maintenance crew. My car takes longer than that to start if it's been sitting for a while. Nice smooth idle as well.
Looks and sounds fantastic. Just love the sound as it revs up a little. Really does make a change to see one start so quickly .
Crisp start and settles to even running very quickly. 😁
Thank you for pointing out the obvious

That's a very quick start up compared with other class 37s that I've seen on RUclips
Got to love a "Split Box" 🤔😀😂👍 Great to see another Tractor running. 👍😎
Really like these trains!!
Sound look very iconic
That engine is running like a Swis!!!s clock
I going on srps tour with one end march
My 1st time on one
Looking forward to it!!
One engine overhaul properly done! Congratulations!
Beautiful sound ! 👍
Great job starts up easily sounds good, well done team !
As somebody who works on 37s for a living… I can finally see why people get excited about them.
Id love your job

Smooth running machine…..
Well done 👍

That shade of blue, and the white pinstripe, really make 37097 beautiful.
Amazing after 12 years.😃

Beautiful loco, great work! 😊
wow that was a good start up
Very nice video! I like much the Deltic class locomotive. New subscriber. Greetings from Italy. Stefano
Not sure this is what you meant but, this is not a Deltic :)
Bring back British Rail ❤ always loved the livery 👌🏼
Beautifull, well done everyone.
Still has the roar of a lion!

Nice one 👍
Looks fabulous
Hoping my 37043 from Accurascale sounds as good when it arrives. At least I have a good video to compare it to 👌

I'd call that a successful event. 👌👍👍👍😊
Lovely . Just sweet and luvvverly . -bud the painter -
Wow. Good job!
So that is how they are supposed to start?
Amazing noise.
Great Job! Will it be used on the mainline?
Have to admit these look something like the BL-2. And that's not bad!
From a time when made in Britain meant something!
Very nice. Some cash's been spent there.
Buonasera, una domanda ..che motore monta? Quanti tempi? 2 o 4?
No poor fumes coming out of the exhausts clean deisel
Not sure that chain will hold it back…🤔
looks like a Triang now
Running like a watch. 😊
Nice looking ! 😃
Why do they not start like that ALWAYS? Poor maintenance?
That started quickly. What engine is in these trains, how big is the fuel tank any kind of mpg do they get?
The diesel prime mover is an English Electric 12CSVT, that much I do know. It's rated 1750 horsepower, I think it's about 120 litre cubic capacity.
Why do these engines take so long to start?
excellent
Why do they take so long to start ?
Because of their age, that's why.
Very nice. Subscribed
What could I ask for?👍
Sweet!!!M
🚂👍
Awesome...
Awsome
I like how the 37 engines sound like farting.
MEINE LORDZ 🔥
ITS ALIVE 😁😁😁😁
❤❤
Lovely old girl
Se escucha el ruido del motor como de un alco motor 244
I'm no expert but seeing that cold stay there is something disgustingly wrong with all the start ups we seen. They all meet an overhaul
Thats no first start that was warm.
My thoughts also
Thats a cold start wdym
No 37 started like that cold...ever.
@@johno4521 very warm sunny day, 4 cans of Easy Start. My bike loves it . 😀😂
Maybe it was preheated by means of a mains water heater?
Great job ,looking Awesome.
I don't think that chain is going to hold it!
thanks for this awesome video! 🚝
