This the type of shear tutorials we need , there’s mostly Uk vids with hairstyles that aren’t even asked at the shops on yt with over complicated explanations, great work man appreciate you
The knowledge and the skill displayed in this video is priceless honestly. I've been watching your videos for a while my man. You can really tell you are a master of the craft. Thank you for sharing your videos with us on a regular basis.
As a "professional" barber actively working for nearly two years, no prior knowledge of cutting hair before school... The best thing I could say is the fact that you are taking time to research into your craft by watching these videos speaks volumes. Be patient with yourself and the process. It takes time. Repetition, knowledge and understanding why and when or when not to do certain things. You got this.
I love how you texture his hair with the razor the shear was crazy I need to do that inspired to go over all my texturizing techniques on razor and shear to do more texturizing love how the cut turn out. Cool design
i appreciate you man whenever you learn something new that can elevate the craft you give it out for free much respect man its made me a more confident person in my haircuts and if your a barber you have to have confidence in your cut and your consultation with a customer thanks for more knowledge man. You can get a fade anywhere but if the top is wack you know the style of the haircut the dope fade wont matter.
Man, you guys coming to my hometown i might be able to attend the look and learn. i'm an upcoming barber in high school and your videos help me out a lot
Truly enjoy watching your videos 📹 your consistency with all your cuts just makes sense. There's more game that you're giving then this??? Bananas 🍌 🍌 🍌
I like the razor work, I also use that razor in my work, what do you think about doing point cutting and then a little razor work for some added texture on that fringe area? Always love your work Sean. It's taken my pro barber game to the next level! Thank you for all your work on your video's.
Great video bro. Needed this 💯. Have y’all ever had a time when a client asked if you can make it shorter after you just did all this? Lol it def happened to me before. Always learning.
I don’t cut new clients so I know what my people usually want. Definitely happens though. That’s why a proper consultation is so important. Still happens though even with that unfortunately 🤷🏻♂️
I like the line work on the left side of the head. Putting that line in before you start to do the fade really makes it pop! Gonna remember that! Appreciate all the tips and tricks man it’s really helping.
Man this is great content a lot of useful tips. But when is it best to use the block graduation method? Can it be used for a comb over or slick back or other hairstyles? Either way man keep up the content 👊🏽🔥
I use it when I’m doing a cut that I want to guarantee I leave weight where I want it. Let’s me set the line where I want it and take my #3 right up into it
I usually try not to use the razor. On most heads it’s a little irritating on the client. If I can get it sharp enough with my trimmers I just use them
Should I horseshoe part every haircut I do? I’m struggling with this. If I don’t use block graduation is it necessary to part it this way? Or should I use some form of parting/block graduation as an approach to every men’s haircut?
Hey Sean, I'm really impressed with your content. This is the first time I've watched your videos, but I'm definitely a new subscriber now. I'm an amateur barber from Brazil who cuts my own hair and family members' hair. I have a 10-year-old boy with curly coarse hair. Would you recommend using block graduation to cut his hair with more length on the sides and just a slight tapering around the ears? I assume block graduation could be a great technique for him and it would be easy to maintain. Keep up the superb work and greetings from Brazil!!!
Man the second knuckle trick is HUGE, I cut the top of my knuckle clean off when I was Layering some hair back a month ago, painful as fuck to deal with
Definitely do what’s most comfortable for you. However sometimes when you do the top last the sides don’t look quite right. When you do the top first you are cutting into a finished product
I have never been this early. Sheesh great video Sean. Also do you think you will ever do a DIY painting video on any other babyliss products? Have considered doing my Babyliss shaver because of the same metal and silver qualities it has like my trimmers. Anyways take care!
Do u have to do sectioning with scissor work to debulk the sides or can u js go with the num 4 or 3 guard lever open/closed with a flick out motiob and to top it off sum thinning shears work?
Ionn get how you do it sean i cant do shear work with gloves on i gotta be able to feel the hair😂😂Great cut bro from a blade user to watchin you cut with guards you make me wanna use em ( i do every now and then)
I’m struggling cause I watched a lot of videos that say to cut the top first but I always get caught up on how to tie in the parietal ridge. I lose sleep over it if I’m being honest 😂
Draw on a dry erase board. Color it solid then cut / erase the line with something like you’re doing it in hair. That’s how I figured out some of the more complex designs. Then just take your time and practice on real heads. If you have clients you cut bald see if you can “doodle” on them before you shave it
I guess it’s a stylistic preference, but wouldn’t it be better to take a profile section down the middle? Also again, stylistic approach, but pullIng everything down to the base keeps a lot of weight especially for someone with thick hair. I’m sure it all comes down to preferences, looks good though
@@Seancutshair damn I just peeped. I do get cut sometimes by Bossio, but that $100 Taxes!. And s craft busy as hell. I can’t pull up there to to a different barber. They. Gon be like he a barber hopper

@@Seancutshairgreat video! What if the customer wants more length off the top would it mess up the connection with the perimeter we made?
I'm grateful for you sharing your knowledge and the way you give tips to simplify is absolutely priceless...love what you're doing man.

I usually do point cutting. Did these two techniques to show two other ways. Best part about texture you can do it however, and as much as you want
Need more of these 🔥🔥 thanks sean

Btw i use to cut tf out my in school doing layer cuts🤦🏾♂️😂😂 i saw when you cut your hand and it brought back a few memories

when would you prefer to use a razor for the hair design instead of just the trimmer?
I usually try not to use the razor. On most heads it’s a little irritating on the client. If I can get it sharp enough with my trimmers I just use them
Hey Sean, how long does it normally take you to do a full haircut and beard? I feel like it takes me over an hour, any tips on getting faster?
Speed will come with repitition. I could do it in 30-40 but I give myself an hour
Should I horseshoe part every haircut I do? I’m struggling with this. If I don’t use block graduation is it necessary to part it this way? Or should I use some form of parting/block graduation as an approach to every men’s haircut?
I only do all that when it’s very important to preserve length.
@@Seancutshair do you mean to preserve length on the top or at the parietal?
Respect ✊🏽

Just ordered some fresh shears!!! Used your code.... hope they was worth it! Dope cut!!!
They will be! All I use 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
nice work man!
Thank you 🙏🏼
You can do this same haircut with clippers right ? & if you can why do you prefer shears instead what’s the difference?
I mean kinda. You could cut the top with clippers I guess but not going to get the level of precision or the texture
@@Seancutshair alright I appreciate it
Can't find the March classes on the website, I want to purchase ticket now, so I can plan my trip, I'm from California
No March classes as of yet. Should be announcing a few more soon. We’re in San Jose this weekend!
Can you do a video in depth explaining about cross graduation and how different starting postions for cross graduation changes the cut
I will try
I like doing the side first then the top. Should I do the opposite?
Definitely do what’s most comfortable for you. However sometimes when you do the top last the sides don’t look quite right. When you do the top first you are cutting into a finished product
Did you enhance the bottom part of the design if so would like to see the process on how to keep it clean
Just dusted fibers on the design and went over it with a trimmer
That’s a great video 💪🏻 what guards you using on your rebels? Is it style craft one or wahl one?
They’re colored Wahl premium replicas
@@Seancutshair just curious what’s wrong with SC guards. Asking as i ordered SC Rebel recently.
I have never been this early. Sheesh great video Sean. Also do you think you will ever do a DIY painting video on any other babyliss products? Have considered doing my Babyliss shaver because of the same metal and silver qualities it has like my trimmers. Anyways take care!
I haven’t painted anything since them. Too time consuming. Should operate just about the same on anything
@@Seancutshair appreciate the feedback, just finished your wahl senior sandpaper video. Going to give that a go as well.
Do u have to do sectioning with scissor work to debulk the sides or can u js go with the num 4 or 3 guard lever open/closed with a flick out motiob and to top it off sum thinning shears work?
That will work but be less precise
Cleeaaaaan 👌🏻
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
So in barbering school, they taught us to start from the bottom. What is the advantage of starting from the top?
Cutting into a finished product. If you cut the sides first, then the top, sometimes the finished product doesn’t land exactly how you wanted
@@Seancutshair thanks for the reply! I'll try it this way next time and see which I prefer
Amazing video, how long did it take you to do this haircut?
Probably close to an hour. Always take my time on Jackson

Hey could you make a video on shears and thinning shears cost friendly?
I have a few on fresh shears that I use. Look it up 👌🏻

Can you do a video on how to trim curly hair ? and i’m not talking about short hair neither Like a curly wavy fro that got length to it
If I get some like that I will
What do you use in your spray bottle??? I use hair tonic from level3 but I can never get the hair wet enough to hold sections like that.
Just water 🤷🏻♂️
Hi, why is it not point cut too? for more texture
Thanks
Will a heavier guy look slimmer with a fade haircut?
Possibly! More to it then just the fade though
Good stuff
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I’m struggling cause I watched a lot of videos that say to cut the top first but I always get caught up on how to tie in the parietal ridge. I lose sleep over it if I’m being honest 😂
Just keep working on it you’ll get it
Scissor over comb the back and sides into the top
What kind of product did you rub in the hair?
It’s a serum for texture and heat protection before the blow dry
I need to get more confident in my design work..... Any suggestions or content?.
Draw on a dry erase board. Color it solid then cut / erase the line with something like you’re doing it in hair. That’s how I figured out some of the more complex designs. Do you use the fusion blade on the rebels or do u swap it for a taper blade??
Fusion with the stretch bracket
