    My Advanced Strumming Course: tinyurl.com/4fhkmjyj
When it comes to strumming your guitar, do you usually use a pick or your fingers? Honestly, I don't believe that one way is right and the other is wrong. They are each useful and each have their benefits...and I use both in my playing all the time. In this video, I'll explain the pros and cons and practical uses of each style. I hope you enjoy!

I seem to struggle with a pick for some reason, my whole wrist seems too tight maybe gripping pick too tightly so doesn’t seem to rotate and pick drags under the strings on upstroke. I will keep practicing.

I'm a complete beginner and I've never had a pick fly out of my hands, is it really that common because half the video is about picks flying out of the hand

    Super cool, thanks!!
One thing I struggle a bit with is my pick sonetimes spinning/rotating a bit after strumming a while, and I have to stop and reorient it in my hand. Anyone have tips to help with that?

you're welcome. They make picks with grip pads on them. Maybe that would help you

using a finger and a pick produce totally different sounds so maybe it depends on the song you are playing that determines which you use?

true. Yes the song and style have a lot to do with the choice you make

I somehow developed a weird habit of strumming as if I’m holding a pick by pinching my index and thumb together. Do you think I need to correct this as a bad technique?

No, I don't think that's a bad habit. If it works for you, there's nothing wrong with that
