I took the train at the Tsim Sha Tsui Terminal to study at the Chinese University in the late 70s. The train in those days were slow, windows could be opened and you could smell the exhaust from the train engines. If trains on the opposite direction happened to stop at a station, you could talk to the folks on the other train. Hawkers sold snacks on the train. Pig ears were my favorite.
It is a really beautiful clock tower whether or not modernized.
