It's a series of songs all following one story writen by Cosmo@bousou-P (one of my favourites) called "-InfinitY-". There are some songs that describe the story itself. This song is mostly described as good end, while it officially isn't an ending itself. There are 4 endings; bad end (uninstalled, the one you mentioned), worst end (abandoned), miku to asoubou! (reïnstalled, i would personally place intense singing after this one), and hyper∞lation (saved but corrupted by virus).

Like the previous reply, Miku did die in Intense Voice, with the difference being she accepts her fate, thus dies happily with no regrets, by singing Intense Voice as a last gift to her audience before she leaves.
In the other songs, it shows Miku's death in an unwilling way as she is forcibly deleted/abandoned by her owner. On the other end, in Intense Voice, it shows that she is willing to die as she finally realises who she is and decided to accept her fate of death.

You are absolutely right on Intense Voice, and I'm not saying your point is wrong, but that's what I think.
I think of this as the sequel to the disappearance, she gathers her last traces to leave a mark on all of us, she sees the good side in it, unlike in tje disappearance where she felt sad for dieing, here she sings a last song and leaves us a happy goodbye for her to rest.

This song makes me extremely happy. After watching the disappearance of hatsune Miku i saw super depressed, but i then found this song and it made everything better. After reading the lyrics i would say that in this song miku means shes not dying or going away, but she is quite alive, and is happy that we enjoy her songs. Having such awesome fans and friends, she and the other vocaloids are happy. And she'll never leave us, because being able to make and sing songs for us to enjoy is human enough for her. I probably could have worded this better, but even though this song is happy, it still put me on the feel coster^^. Long version short= Miku is alive and will be with "us"(her friends) forever^^

you know, i’m happy i discovered vocaloid in my life. the songs have gotten me through so much and i’m thankful for that. i heard my first miku song when i was 7, and saw it as nothing at first, then i kept listening to more and more vocaloid. the songs are more then songs to me, they are my life, i don’t know what i’d do without them. if they make me sad, happy or anything i can relate to all the songs. and i just wanna say thank you to everyone who puts they’re blood, sweat, and tears into the songs for us, the fans. i feel bad for those who haven’t discovered vocaloid yet, they are really missing out.

The best word to describe this song is literally: "Bittersweet"
