This was my first time ever making a roast goose for Hanukkah, and your video was so helpful! From this, I learned to score, to baste with boiling water, and how to trim and french my bird. You post great content! Thank you.
Aah thats so great to hear Miranda, thank you! 🙏🏼 And happy cooking! 😃
Is it really 25 minutes in the oven and it’s fully cooked ?
Every video so far in this series is making me so hungry and so excited for Christmas.
Nice man! Glad you like them 😃
120 C for 25 minutes? That wouldnt cook a chicken much less a goose
Yep! Didn't understand that as well.
Seems this video has some failures. 120C for 25 minutes is impossible!
It is celcius. Not Farneheit
Looks like you can eat goose on the medium rare to medium side! You can’t do that with chicken lol 😂
120c is 250F. That’s the temperature that I use to warm my bread. This guy is hiding something and not telling us the truth.
Looks so yummy! Thank you!
Could you please clarify the cooking temperature as the video says 120C but the description 220C? Thanks! Keep up the great series!!
The temps in the description are correct mate. Apologies!
Stunning! ❤
having trouble eating it all? hahaha
Loving this series -- excellent work!
Thanks Carrie! Glad you’re enjoying it 😃🙏🏼
Hi. 25 mins in the oven plus 10 mins at 100 degrees seems wrong.
Do you have a duck video, or should I cook it like the goose? Thanks.
Looks absolutely amazing❤👏🏼👨🍳
Thanks Dean! More for our Christmas table! 😁🎄
Hi mate - is the total cooking time only 35 mins?
Yes and 20mins resting 🙌🏼
Reallly? Takes longer to roast a chicken which is a lot smaller
@@Lucidchronicles goose doesn’t have to be cooked thoroughly like chicken does
@@redfishing7797 USA USDA says 165 Fahrenheit which is 73.8889 C, which takes almost 1.5 hour for me plus rest time for 5.5 kilo bird, so no I don't think it is safe to go with mid rare, but one could try and get some 25 days of the hospital
@@redfishing7797 but will the legs be completely tender by that time? I'm afraid that if you cook only for 35 minutes, the leg meat will not be falling off the bone.
That looks beaut !
Thank you! 😃
What is the time per pound please?
Thanks, but I like my bird well done . Thanks for the recipe . I still intend to use it . ❤
I’ve always been curious about goose but I’m not sure it’s available in Canada. I guess duck would be closest?
Absolutely! Super similar in flavour 🙌🏼
Thank you
Surely the total cooking time is longer than 35 minutes!?
Surely !!!🤔
It’s also resting for 20mins, during which time it continues to cook. As long as you preheat your oven you’ll be good. Of course, everyone is working with different tools and ovens so go with your gut 💪🏼
I’ve got a bird ready to roast but I’m getting conflicting temps and times. Some say low and slow like 6hours you’re telling me high and fast! Help!!!
Do you mean 25minutes per Kilo ?
Or what ?
I really like this video format. 5 minutes and I get the recipe with an enthusiastic hoast? Hell yeah! Fuck these 20 minute long videos!
Chef Aaron .... I think I got it sussed, but the temperatures and times seem a lot to get precise! 😩.... going for it though😎
💪🏼
so does goose taste like duck? If it does then... hello!
Yes! very very similar 🙌🏼
