    When I was in Jr High; Mystery Theatre broadcasted on Sunday evenings (WSBT) AM radio 960. South Bend, IN. I never missed an episode. That was in 1974. I enjoy listening just as much today as I did back then.

      Same except I listened on KFI on Sunday nights in Los Angeles in the mid late 1970s. I was obsessed with this show. Our family would eat dinner out & then we would listen on the way to drop off my step brother & sister at their moms house. If I was home I would turn down the volume on my little clock radio the lowest it would go & put it up to my ear so my parents wouldn’t hear it since the show came on after my bedtime. The show was scary, but not too scary for a little kid. The music at the beginning used to scare the bejesus out of me though. Ahh memories. Hi to all us 1970s kids on here who loved this show.

      Right. Radio is THE THEATER OF THE MIND. Nostalgically these plays evoke the norms of the days long ago and give us insight. Radio was their television back in the day.

    I was laughing when Muldoon faked that phone call, great episode. Really wished Shirley hadn't called the police in the end, but the circumstances would have sealed her fate most unfavorably. LeFleur's need to stay hidden and Shirley's desire to hide him all to herself was going to culminate as it had in Chicago at worst; at best, the Bonnie Carstairs mirage would mercilessly deliquesce before our and her wanting eyes. There was so much potential here; and at the same time it never had a shot.

    Reasonable moral.

  • @OdsnFilms
    @OdsnFilms 2 года назад

    If this was Nightfall, I assume after Shirley was dialing the police. The next thing you would hear was a customer ordering a special and Dr. LaFleur would reply back " One special coming right up"... All in all, a nice sugar coated conclusion altogether...

    good script and acting - very intriguing - however - the twist ending failed to end on a dramatic high note - it seemed more like an anti-climax - i've become more impressed with Teri Keane after hearing her on so many of these radio episodes

    That waitress never shuts up. The dialogue was so rough and annoying to follow, yes I realize the uploader has zero control over that I'm just annoyed that they let this on the air however many years ago.

      Sounded good to me. The waitress reminded me of Flo from the TV show Alice (Mel's Diner) only with an east coast accent.
