Very nice! I didn't know how the track output recording was supposed to work--this cleared up a problem I was planning to have in a few weeks! N.B. By that, I mean that I knew I didn't understand this, and I knew I was going to need to understand it. I just didn't have the absolute need to figure it out immediately, as it would become an issue in a few weeks. 😂
I had this exact thing on my mind this morning . . . and lo and behold . . . there this video sat in my feed when I got online. Thanks for this useful information, Kenny!!!
Very useful, finally got everything talking together after 2 years of ignoring the problem. I was transfering audio wav manually from my korg kronos to reaper on a usb stick....doh.
Hi thanks for this tutorial Kenny, I'm fairly new to recording with an interface. Please can you or anybody advise me on the following: So for me wanting to record with 2 mono tracks - 1 x vocal and 1 x acoustic guitar and wanting to have reverb on the headphones to help me with my vocal if I follow your first example to place a reverb plugin on the FX in the vocal track/channel and record. Then after I have recorded if I turn the FX off in the vocal track I will have the sound of the recorded vocal in its raw state. I have been looking at other videos for headphone reverb and they seems far more involved than what you show in this video. With my ID44 interface set to 64 there is no latency so it does seem to work. So is it OK to use this setup for headphone reverb Many thanks in advance Alan
Greetings_!! Thank you very much for your tutorials, they are very helpful_!! Is it possible that when you turn on the recording of a track, others are automatically turned off_?!
Hi Kenny, is there a setting where REAPER can record let`s say 192kHz from another Track with the original file having 192kHz? I have one original file that i sent to 3 different FX tracks to mix in the FX. All of them including the original Track will then be sent to a print track where i want to record the finalized version. As of now i haven`t found any setting which lets me believe the samplesize is limited by my pc audiohardware.
Thank you sir. For me in Reaper, I have to be in Audio>Device>DirectSound to play the backing track and Audio>Device>ASIO to record. Any advice on how to overcome this and record over the backing track like this video? Thank You
My guitar sounds good through the monitor, when after I record my guitar, and then hear my recording the output volume is too low and faded.. how to fix this?
Reaper mania please help me.I need to record my vocals and have another track playing through my headphones but I don’t know how.I’m using a USB interface.Do you know anything advice that you can help me put me?
Why go through all the blathering when all you have to do is unarm the track? and lastly why not make a real recording involving faster tempo and faster playing, see if latency don't mess it up... genius! ╓♪♫♪♫♪♫
