Nice regular native methode, but SWS extension has real (not RMS) offline (quick) LUFS integer analyses on selected items, why not take advantage of that ? It would be nice to showcase SWS features, its solid. Even Justin from Cockos contributed to it.
1:58 When I'm in the "Master VU settings" and set them up just like Kenny does, I do not get the 4 dB wide green band when I set the "Red Threshold" to 4.0 dB and the other settings like he has (RMS Only, RMS Top Label). Anyone have any idea how that is? Seems like a handy visual aide. I can get the thin green line like it shows when this is set to 0 dB.
My tracks play all at once. Even thou I select one track Reaper plays them all at once. How do i make them play individually just you did in this video? Thanks
Forget about Youlean: TBProAudio dbMeter (v4, as of now: www.tb-software.com/TBProAudio/dpmeter4.html) is better AND fully gratis. Or just SWS Loudness: it would be enough for this use case.
Actually, Youlean Loudness Meter you are using is an old version. The plugin has improved since then even in the free version. Anyone can download the newest free version on this link: youlean.co/youlean-loudness-meter/
You can also add markers at the key points of each song and quickly jump from one marker to another with a "jump to next/previous marker" keystroke.
This is the most useful tutorial I've ever watched. I love you Kenny and Reaper!
SWS Loudness is gr8.

I have the same problem :/
Nice! So when I go to make an album or EP I can match my levels. So cool.
That would normally be done in Mastering.
@@mjklein should I do this in the end? After mixing with other plugins like compressor, eq and more?
Kenny that intro music was like something from a modern Halloween horror film I was not expecting that lol great tutorial by the way!
LOL. Now I can't NOT hear that. ugh

Thank you so much for all your tutorials. I have learned from you.
Thanks, Kenny! I have been doing this the hard way...
Nice timing. I just found out like a week ago how to do this on my own.

Can this be done mixing 5 - 10 tracks that are layered? That I would like to see as well. Good video. I'll try this for sure.

Is this some kind of a gain staging after the recording some tracks?
This might seem like a dumb question, but how do you get that YouLean plugin back so quickly? I always have to click on the "FX" button.
My tracks play all at once.

Thanks
Move them over
